Thanks for the update, peanutmom. I appreciate it when people come back with an update, and yours is welcome. From what you say, the issue of your husband not understanding or tolerating your pain is resolved; that's great and I'm glad for you in that. You'll remember that there were several other issues that you commented on, not just the pain one. Those who responded with a suggestion of getting out of the marriage (I think I'm one of them) did so not because of your husband's reaction to your pain alone, but because of all of the things you told us. I hope that you and he are working on those, too, because those are things, IMO, that will continue well past your pregnancy pain and are frighteningly indicative of more serious problems. Thanks so much for the update, Sue! I'm glad he's eating better, and I hope he eats all that you give him, because of the work you go through to make it palatable for him. Make sure you get lots of rest when you can.....although you have always been a very busy woman! Rest doesn't seem to be in your vocabulary with your shopping trips and baking multiple pies, lol. However you do it, take care of yourself as well as hubby.

It's okay, I didn't take it as being bossy. Yes, I am fortunate that it is a huge complex with satellite facilities all over the area. He is at the main hospital. Private room....treating him very well. He isn't crazy about the food....they have him on a low sodium diet due to the fluid in his lungs. He looked better last night than I have seen him in ages.

Get lots of hibiclens and everyone in the house use it every time you bathe or shower! Wash bedding, clothing etc with bleach. I had to go through these procedures multiple times with the recurring staph infections! Once I got it down and understood the importance of everyone following the protocol we were able to completely rid it from our selves and home. (some people are carriers) CVS and Walgreens do have their own brand of the hibiclens which is a little cheaper and works great. I still keep it in my shower and use it from time to time. I hope to never experience another staph in my life! The last one was the size of a large grapefruit in my thigh. Good luck with his continued recovery. Always good to be back home.
