Rental condo ? Anyone have one?

As I think some of you guys know, we sold our old FL house and bought a lot near Disney and are planning to build a new custom home.

Well, trying to build a house right now is not very fun. No one even wants to give quotes w/o a $5,000 deposit because they are so busy and prices are in flux. And the builders we have spoken to said we'd be paying through the wazoo because of lumber shortages, semiconductor shortages, etc. etc.

We still want a place in FL. We are entertaining the idea of buying a cheapie condo (something like this: https://www.redfin.com/FL/Reunion/7509-Mourning-Dove-Cir-34747/unit-302/home/46506894 And then using it when we want and renting it out the rest of the time. Then we'll build our real house once things calm down a bit in the building market (and also once we are going down to FL more often, since it's harder w/ a toddler) We'll keep the rental condo it it's profitable or sell it at the time.

Anyone have experience with rental condos like this? We'd be paying cash for it so not worried about financing approvals or anything. We would want to have a property management company handle everything for us so we don't have to do any work. If you have experience, what should I know or look out for?
