How do I keep cat hair off my cotton quilt?
Comments (1)My two cats love to nap on my bed. So I deal with cat hairs on bedding all the time. I use Downy dryer sheets, they help the cat hairs slide right off. Just toss your quilt and a couple dryer sheets in the dryer on low heat. The hairs get off the quilt and will be in the dryer lint filter....See MoreHow do I receive copies of responses to my questions?
Comments (4)OK...I think I see the problem...at least for Buffetgirl & Kgyso. I just checked all of your pages (clicked on the "My Page" link next to your name) and I noticed that Buffetgirl & Kgyso don't have email turned on. I.e., you don't have the "Send me an email" link. This means you have not allowed emails from this site. To allow emails: 1. Go to: GardenWeb Members (http://members.gardenweb.com/members/) 2. Click on "Edit Your Personal Information, Page, and Preferences" 3. Login (yes, you have to do this even if you're already logged in, it's a security measure) .....You will now see your personal page 4. Toward the bottom of the page, you will see three checkboxes, be sure the first one is checked: "Allow other users to send you email via forms at our site." If that is NOT checked, you cannot receive any emails from this site 5. Finally, click on the "Save your member profile" link at the bottom. I don't know if this is retroactive for your already posted questions, but it will work for all future threads you start --if you check the "Check here if you would like copies of follow-ups to your message emailed to you" box! RHome...I don't know why you aren't getting your emails, you apparently already allow emails. HTH the rest though!...See MoreHow do I get this sap out of my hair???
Comments (4)Thanks, will try that right now. Woops, I forgot to hit "submit." So I did just try the oil and I think that worked. Thanks, Oldgardener! Off to get my hair cut now and I know she's not going to have you yank my hair off to get through the sap....See MoreDo You Find This Hair Style Attractive?
Comments (53)About a thousand years ago, I was a runner. I had a nice little runner's body. But then I got sick and couldn't run anymore and I sure packed on the pounds. It made me feel so bad about myself. A friend was asking me to go out to some clubs with her and I told her that I looked hideous and couldn't stand to go out in public looking so out of shape.... She just looked at me with her mouth hanging open. She had struggled her whole life with her weight and has always weighed a lot more than I do. I was only thinking of myself when I said I looked hideous and I honestly didn't even "see" her size, she was just my friend in my eyes. But I insulted her nonetheless. I still cringe when I think about it. We often say things only thinking of how we see the world. Posting photos of young, thin, attractive white people and lamenting how awful their hair looks can make a portion of the world who can never look like that feel badly about themselves. There is a whole lot of pressure out there for young women - particularly for young women of color - to have their hair look a certain way. If someone had posted a picture of their actual granddaughter looking this exact same way, people would be gushing about how beautiful she was. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm happy for you. Really - that's not sarcasm. I know this wasn't posted with the intent to make people feel bad. I'm just throwing out another perspective to consider.......See MoreOakley
