Just be patient, and they will come to realize that they aren't Heron bait any longer. If I walk around the pond they will follow me. If I step up onto the rocks around the edge and they sort of bump and make a noise, then the fish will start to dart in the other direction. But right away they realize it is me and not some big ole bird come to devour them. It will just take time for them to become aware that they are indeed safe. Glenda

If the buds are swelling, it sounds like the tree is getting ready to leaf out. Transplanting often sets a plant off schedule. Although it will leaf out late this year, I would expect it to leaf out at the proper time in future years. I wouldn't fertilize it at all, and especially not until it is growing strongly. If it was growing fast in the old location, and the new location is similar, then it sounds like the tree won't need any special fertilizer or extra water. As long as the soil is moist, I wouldn't water it too much. Without leaves it isn't using much water right now. The tree isn't making any food without leaves, but it has enough energy stored up to grow roots and survive for a long time without leaves, and the leaves will eventually grow. I would be careful to water it when it leafs out and the weather gets warm. It lost a lot of roots in the move so it will have trouble getting enough water to the leaves on a hot, dry day. If after the leaves appear it wilts a lot and can't recover overnight, you might have to prune away some of the branches, but I would wait and see if this is necessary.

Dear BT33 Thank you very much for your inquiry. I suggest you buy a product called Acclaim extra (fenoxaprop-ethyl). It will take out crabgrass easily, and with repeat applications 2-3 weeks apart will knockout the bermudagrass. You will need to go to a turf specialty/supply store (like Lesco) to get this product, I believe. Seeds and stems do travel via vehicles and water. There is little to do to prevent it. I admire you all who can do the Instyler. I would make a huge, tangled mess if I did it. lol. However, I found this video earlier today and I finally figured out how to do the waves the easy way. This is a short video showing three different types of curls. The last one is what I'm going to do. Easy Peasy curls All I need is a thinner curling iron and use smaller pieces of hair. I've always done a twist (wave) on each side of my face anyway, but it made bigger curls that fell out sooner. I noticed it's also how you take the hair off the iron.
