Advise for exterior paint color with spanish tile roof
Comments (6)Before I worried about the paint color, I would want to know your entire renovation plan and budget. There is a lot you could do with that house. The siding needs to be removed and the house needs to be stuccoed That fireplace could be rocked along with the two pillars in the driveway. But in terms of color, there are four color schemes that I've seen work well with that color of tile roof. 1) Yes, you could go cream color and accent with the dark stained wood color. 2) Or you could do two tones of stucco .... one a beige that has pink in it and the other a light cream color. 3) Or you could do a light pink and accent with cream. 4) Or a lighter green works well with a Spanish tile roof in that lighter pink-ish hue. Just make sure that whatever color you choose that it has pink as its undertone....See MoreExterior Paint for a Foursquare --- Please Advise!
Comments (25)That is a great blue example; thanks Beth. I am still torn about blue versus calm... And Hallett, we agree about the two shades of the same color for the upper shingles and lower clapboards. Do you know how much something has to be tinted to see contrast? We tried 25% and could hardly distinguish a difference. I wonder if one step on the paint chip-card is enough or if two steps is necessary....See MoreColor challenged Need advise on exterior paint reddish brown roof.
Comments (13)Where are you located? Is your roof a redish/orange tone? You need to work with that and then improve your landscaping too. I think a Sage green color would be very nice. Maybe a light cream if you want a more yellow look. But not a strong yellow. Yellows get strong very fast. So go two shades less strength on yellows....See MoreWould like to update our Exterior ...Advise Please.....Thank you
Comments (2)The home is charming. Not sure how successful you will be if you change the front door to wood and then keep a screen/storm door over it. The scrubs in front of the bay windows should be lowered to a height below the window sills. The bushes seem to be taking over that end of the house....See Morecat_ky
