Following Annie's theme - our old home on an early spring snowstorm just before we moved out. It's among the last photos we took. We lived there for 35 years, raised 3 kids, 6 dogs numerous fish, lizards, snakes, birds. It's only a few miles from where we now live and when I drove past recently I was sad to see the large maple tree and Atlas Blue Cedar had been removed.

Recently we drove by our first house, to see the dawn redwood we planted 35 years ago. It is a grand tall tree! We were glad to see the owners value it, hanging a few bird feeders in its lower branches.

I am going back to my childhood. It has been 57 years since I left that green house where I grew up. A tiny coal mining town where everybody knew everybody and looked after one another. This pic taken 3 years ago. Things have changed. That is a creek bed you see between the parking lot and the road in front of the house. When I lived there, a railroad track ran between the creek and the road, like about 30 feet from the house. Steam engine trains traveled that track to the coal mine where my Dad worked a mile up the road. Dirty, noisy thing! But, to go back to those carefree, happy days would be ok....at least for a little while.

Eiffel Tower view. Think it was 2013 . Wish I had pictures of our old farmhouse where I grew up. It caught on fire from the fireplace many years ago. Growing up ,I had no clue that someday I would travel the world.

Our old/last house, master bedroom. It had 13 windows, a sliding glass door and a skylight. Winds as high as 101 mph would make them rattle. Scary place to sleep!

Our small backyard patio of the row house we rented the Netherlands. We brought a lot of our furniture from the States because we knew where we would be living. I miss the Dutch Tuincentrum (garden centers). Many of them had small cafes inside.

My family and I standing in front of my first home. Like some others, I moved away and stayed away for 25 years. Living first in San Francisco then moving to Baltimore before moving back home. I've been back for 23 years. That doesn't seem possible to me!
