Home Depot has their own brand, Glacier Bay, which looks to be cheaper than American Standard. I don’t know how much cheaper you can go than that, though.

Also, if you visit the build.com website, you’ll be able to see toilets similar to the American Standard one you like but perhaps with a more attractive price point. Good luck with the finishing touches!

Just to clarify, I am just hoping to find something slightly les $$$ but I don’t need super-cheap either. Actually, I don’t even think the Estate collection is out of reach, but hubs is getting a bit sticker-shocked. I do the finding and he does the grousing. I know none of you know what that’s like, ha! 😏

I was on the Ferguson site and found some really nice pedestals by Signature Hardware - but none have matching toilets! I don’t need matchy-matchy, but am I the only one who wants the whites and styles to coordinate? It’s so weird. I would have replaced what we took out, but hubs let the 7 yr old “help” with the demo, and he set it down on the garage concrete too hard, so that pedestal is toast, lol.

American Standard Estate just isn't that expensive. $300 for a toilet, $267 for a pedestal sink, and $155 for a faucet doesn't seem unreasonable.

This is my quote - it is nearly $716 without faucet and accessories. I am just hoping to satisfy financial stress here at home by saving a couple hundred. I still need to refit the laundry room too. We are in the home stretch, but if I can pare it down just a bit I hope to have a bit left for new furniture and decor.

I’m wondering if anyone has thoughts on mixing. Our toilet is Kohler, but from a collection that was discontinued. American standard has a nice basic one for $200 here at Home Depot. If I get a pedestal from AS, there’s a good chance the glaze will at least be the same color. On the other hand, if I were to only shop for a pedestal, would I need to worry more about matching finishes from different makers?

To be honest, I would mix brands if I preferred one style over another. I really think white is white close enough. I mean, even if they are on top of each other touching, they are different heights or planes and will not be identical.

That's my 2 cents. ( Please note I also don't mind mixing metal finishes within reason and measure)

I'm in a new build and in my powder room mixed AS pedestal sink with Kohler commode. In white, they match perfectly.
