Need prayers for my B/F!
Comments (61)I almost feel as if this message thread is my psycho therapy. lol Bob was doing very well today. He was surprised that they let him have water this morning so soon after the surgery. After his bypass surgery, they didn't let him have water for about a day because the lungs can fill with fluid from being under anesthesia for so long. We won't know until they exam the section of colon they removed as to whether it was cancerous or not. The surgeon "thought" he got it all. So I imagine more tests are in order to know for certain. I have mentioned in my past posts that I have fibromyalgia. After a day at work, even though I have a job where I sit at a computer all day, I am totally wiped out. So Bob does all the cooking around here. I have trouble standing for very long so it is difficult for me to cook. So at the hospital, he is giving me ideas for food I can make and telling me the best way to cut onions so my eyes don't hurt as bad. Tonight he was telling me how to steam the rice he gets. I just let him ramble on because I know it makes him feel better. I was so glad I had a clogged drain so I could ask him how to unclog it the past few days. It kept him talking for about 45 minutes. Today I was able to tell him that I finally got it unclogged. He was so excited when I told him his tomato plants had little tomatoes. He is doing very well. They were waiting for him to fart. I guess that is a sign that things are going well. If that's the case, I must have one healthy colon! lol So keep up those prayers that Bob finally has a good fart and that he is cancer free! Thanks so much for being my therapists! Love, Kathy...See MoreI'm a little anxious right now and I need someone to talk me up..
Comments (27)Sorry about not replying sooner! I had some trouble yesterday with certain children letting me on the computer long enough to answer emails and peek at the KT but that's it. Inconsiderate babies who don't nap properly! LOL ;) Anyway, thanks for all of the congratulations and good wishes. It is so exciting to know that we only have one more week here! Yippee! Now for the advice...motor home rental-too pricey...tenting it-this is early spring in Saskatchewan. We would freeze. There is no land because every lot is sold. Every lot. In the whole town. The "weekend" homes are an hour away and more expensive than a house in town would be. There is nothing to rent right at this moment and when stuff comes up it's snatched up in no time. I think there are people who troll the streets waiting for a rental to come up, LOL. I want Annie to go to the school in town so we have to live there. Also, Claire's preschool is there. All three Realtors know us personally and have all of our numbers and strict instructions to call if anything becomes available. And I so appreciate them for doing that. Gosh Patti, I wish you were close too! I would love for someone to play with the kids while I just laid on the couch and read a book for an hour. That would be SWEET! LOL Having time to house-hunt isn't a problem, it's the lack of options out there. :( I'm so sorry for your crummy experience Donna! We found out today that renting at the hotel is out of the question because it would be $2200/month at one and $1700/month at the other. *sigh* I don't even know if the campground is running at this time of year. We don't own a trailer and our car is too small to sleep in. :D I'm trying to see this as an adventure, and I was starting to think that staying at a hotel would be fun because I wouldn't have to clean, but darn. :) There is no one who can take our cats as our friends are either saddled with cats of their own or they are highly allergic. The hotels in town are not part of a chain, they are privately owned and thus why they can charge a goofy rate. Anyway, I appreciate every single person who responded to my thread. You are all wonderful and you are truly welcome at our house (once we have one) if any of you find yourselves in Saskatchewan. Thank you, thank you, and thank you! Danielle...See MoreI need help and prayers from the KT prayer warriors. Please.
Comments (23)Thank you for telling me what I know should have happened long ago. My sister and brother-in-law are both lawyers. We haven't wanted to upset Diane right now because of her health. But, we are going to ask Bob to help us get him out of here.Like I said, I don't want them to take them, I just want to know how to get him out. When Ken was in the hospital back in March because of taking to many pain pills, I asked the nurse case worker how I could get him out. She told me that because he was a relative and that I had let him move in, the only way to get him out was to take him to court. That doesn't seem right, and because of mine and Jim's health issues, I didn't go further. You asked me if he had mental or physical issues that would make him encapable to take care of himself. He somehow graduated from HS, has held jobs, only ones that Jim or my Dad got for him, and is not so much in pain from his back that he can't work. Sears let him go because he told them that he could only come back to work if he could work for two hours and be able to sit for 20 minutes when he needed to. The disability that he is getting is from insurance that he is payin #179. a month. It is not Government disability. As far as mental, he is really a filthy person. He doesn't shower, my children came over and tore up the carpet in his room, and painted his room purple, what he wanted. And his room is filthy already.I put his microwave and toaster oven on the porch because it is filthy and I don't want it in my house.Shortly after he moved in,I found bugs in the house so made him pay for an exterminator. He pays that every month.Sorry for venting, but that is about all I have done since he has been making our life even more miserable lately. He told me he is perfectly happy here, isn't leaving, and I can't make him leave. New Years resolution. He will leave here. We have looked into HUD houses, but they do inspections and you have to keep the place clean. So, if he doesn't and once he is out, he is not coming back. My Jim use to be a locksmith and this will be one happy job for him Thanks again, for listening....See MoreSomething keeps eating my plants! Please, someone help!
Comments (4)Dear Tony and Len - Thanks for your advice. I'm beginning to think you're both right. I guess I thought that the plants were too close to our balcony to be inviting for a possum... but then again they DO nest in people's roofs! And at night they would not have much to worry about no matter how close they came. I thought that maybe snails did the deed, but I'll take your advice that it was just too much for snails to do all in one go. Thanks again guys - You have put me on the right track. Time to think about fencing off my precious plants :-) Regards Adrian...See Morel pinkmountain
