If you're not painting the siding now I would probably paint the garage door the same color as the siding. I agree with getting rid of the shutters. When you replace the posts I would go with something more substantial as the existing ones look too small. You could look at painting the windows going in two directions, lighter (creamy white) or darker (espresso). If you decided to paint the siding I think that opens up more options for you. The plum color on the doors doesn't seem to really work with the brick. A dark rust color or maybe even a warmer dark taupe (gray brown) would work. When you do paint the doors I would pain the one from the garage the same color as the garage door so the main front door becomes a focal point. All I see is an over done mcmansion and I have no clue what a Santa Barbara look is. Post pics of what you want then maybe we can help. Okay so I looked at theis style and your house is going to need a lot of work I would not paint the stone I would have it removed or covered and if at all possible that whole thing at the front with the columns and jug and round window should be removed. This is one pic I found so maybe not quite what you are thinking, BTW is this for you or a client ?

I'd paint the trim black, maybe redo the white porch w/natural cedar or redwood and do some cedar shakes in the gable portion. accent w/copper (down spouts, pots, hardware, etc) see how they brought in the cedar shingles in the gable? I like the black trim on the roof fascia, around the windows (no shutters) and the copper a nice warm charcoal like Kendall Charcoal w/the black, could also work. You could do your porch area w/the charcoal, and black elsewhere. no shutters another nice color is a sage green. (and the copper). think patina green like copper turns when it oxides. that's the shade of green you want. similar to yours, but a deeper black shutter, door and fascia trim. consider doing your porch ceiling in a beadboard or even wood flooring planks. (or cedar planks) stained a warm brown tone if you consider painting the brick, use a natural product like Romabio Romabio also has masonry paint that gives a thicker coverage.

You have to decide which is best for you, time and expense wise - but if it were my house, I would keep the garage door Rockport Gray, paint the trim around it black to match your new door, keep the shutters black, and use paint as suggested to minimize the huge white blob of the front windows. Or even think about painting that black also. You can go to the Sherwin Williams (or any major paint maker's) website, upload your house photo to the visualizer tool, and play around with different paint combinations until you are confident in your choices.
