David Austin 2019 UK new introductions
Comments (48)Marlorena, anyone on this thread could you please share how Eustacia has done for you. I know we are not getting her in 2020 =(, but I can't wait to have her. I will def try Emily and Mill on the Floss, but keep thinking about Eustacia. Also I read on a Uk rose review site that The Mill on the Floss gets black spot, any comments on this? After seeing how amazingly healthy Olivia Austin is, I had great expectation for any new releases....See MoreIntroduction - new to group
Comments (0)Hi. I live in Northern Virginia, zone 7a/b and have been interested in figs since tasting my first fresh fig while on vacation in France, About 10 years ago. After returning I started to realize there were fig trees all around me in Virginia. I started small with a few varieties like Hardy Chicago and Celeste and now grow more than 30 varieties, mostly in pots. I like to share my lessons learned and learn from others. I look forward to learning from you all. My first question is what Col de Dam variety ripens the earliest in Zone 7? I am considering one for my collection. Thanks...See MoreTwilight's rose introduction
Comments (6)Two other tea roses are red. I'm very in love with the larger one next to my porch steps. The new growth was flaming scarlet. It stands more upright where Peace wants to make a big wide U. The scent seems "perfect" rose to me, so damask. I can smell this rose when I open the door. Super wicked thorns. The other is in very poor condition, I got it to bloom last fall once but not yet this spring. It is very similar to this but not exactly the same. I may let it go (it has died back to the point that there is one cane a foot tall). My guess is they are Chrysler Imperial and Mr Lincoln. This is the healthy one of course....See MoreOver the Edge - J&P New Exclusive Introduction 2022
Comments (6)My Over the Edge has gotten black spot pretty severely but hasn’t defoliated from it, and is continuing to bloom despite lots of black splotches everywhere. Not the prettiest bush but the blooms keep coming. Fragrance on mine is moderate and sweet but pleasing. It started very subtle and has been increasing so maybe by this fall it’ll have a stronger fragrance. Blooms are pretty and keep their form well. Blooms last a long time on the bush but I have no pink edging on my blooms which may be something that comes in later. Temperatures shouldn’t be an issue here as it’s still in lower 70s....See Morenicholsworth Z6 Indianapolis
