Main Water Heater to Point of Service Heater to Faucet: Dip in Temps?

Going back to this thread...

Due to a long run - we're looking at a 6 gallon point of service (POS) water heater (WH) in the master bath with about 90+ feet of PEX in foundation between the bath and POS WH and the main hot water heater on the other side of the house.

If at the faucet we use say ~2.5 gal of hot water from the POS WH, fresh water coming in for a couple gallons to the POS WH will be cold for sure until eventually hot water starts replenishing the POS WH.

At some point of water usage in the bathroom between say roughly the 4 gal and 6 gal marks - would the user not experience less than hot water? E.g. a temporary cooling or dipping of temps for a bit then it would start ramping back up?

Or would the 6 gallon 2000 Watt WH be sufficient to absorb a couple cold gallons and heat it before the main hot water arrived from the main water heater on the other side of the house?

thanks
