Ish matters. The 0.20 ish difference in Chroma rule of thumb applies to pairing colors of white. Color data values like Chroma are best used in a rule of thumb kind of way vs. formulaic or rigid prescription. For example, 0.14 could be close enough if the color combo looked pretty in the space. In this case, both Gray Owl and Drift of Mist are too dark to be considered colors of white. Paired with Pure White, there's enough contrast in terms of Value (lightness/darkness) so the 0.20 rule of thumb isn't particularly helpful. Which is different from pairing colors of white that are similar in lightness (Value). Using Gray Owl and DOM together gives me pause. Because they're very similar in terms of attributes and if the light isn't just right, you may not be able to tell that they are indeed two different colors. Might be simpler - and equally effective - to just use one. So, look for that when you test and sample.

It's only a guess on my part, but I believe the laminate floor you have selected is going to have a very 'striped' appearance once installed. Real wood doesn't look like that. Can you change your selection?

Almost anything goes with white walls. I think the problem is you don't really know which style you want. You named three in your question. It's not so important to be able to name it, but having some inspiration pictures so that you can convey the look you're after would help. If you haven't already, take some time to compile one or more Ideabooks on Houzz (I do one for each room). Just start saving pictures of rooms you like and indicate what you like about each room in the comment field. After a while some commonalities should start becoming apparent. If not, if you're still all over the place, understand that sometimes one house or one room can't hold all of your good ideas. You will have a more pleasing, coherent end result if you refine your taste. Save some ideas for the next house, or the next time you redecorate. :-) What makes professional decorators'/designers' rooms stand out from non-professionals is the discipline required to achieve an intentional look.

We used BM Chantilly Lace with Taj Mahal in our kitchen. I tested all the whites and have large windows that face north in sunny FL. The Chantilly Lace was the sample that stayed white and bright in my space, while the other whites didn't. Used the same Chantilly Lace on all my trim, doors and ceilings. The walls are now BM White Dove, which is a warmer white and goes well with my furnishings, art, wood floors and stained beams. You will be fine! If you find things too white once you move in, all you have to do is repaint the walls in some of the rooms. I had picked a darker color to begin with, done by the builder, and have done my own repainting with the White Dove ... I'm not young anymore and my walls are 10 - 12 ft high, so unless you have a physical disability, it can be done DIY by the average person.
