Favorite Clematis Pruning Group for lots of blooms?

What is your favorite clematis pruning group? I have several pruning group 3 clematis, and it's super easy to cut them down to 12" in early spring. They've never been super vigorous bloomers, but they are in part shade (near a fence corner), so that also plays a factor.

I'm planning on adding some more clematis in another section of the yard, this time in full sun. I'll have 3 trellises, but they're close enough that they'll all probably grow together at one point so I would like to stick to the same pruning group for all of the new clematis. I'm debating between group 2 and group 3. Group 3 are easy to prune in the spring, but Group 2 get an earlier flush of flowers I believe. Is pruning a Group 2 clematis super complicated? Are they more vigorous bloomers than group 3?

Any advice would be appreciated!
