Y'all helped me make some changes with my living room that I'm really happy with! Next on my agenda is to refinish the coffee table I have. I purchased it used; it was a great price and really works for our family, but the finish is too dark for my preferences. I'd love input about how to refinish it.

My ideas include:

• a stain similar to the other wood furniture in the room (which is lighter than its current finish but still dark).
• a honey-ish stain. This would have a similar tone to the other wood in the room but lighter.
• a pickled stain. The swivel chairs in the room have a pickled base.
• Painting it, in which case I have lots of color choices. I like the idea of a mustard color, although that would be a big chunk of mustard.
