ETA: A friend was thinking of doing something similar, and naming her baby girl using first few letters of her own first and middle names. Her mother (family matriarch) said in her heavy Latvian accent....if you name that baby with that made-up name, I'm not going to baby sit!. Baby got a more suitable but still unusual name.

Toni, I completely understand your anger and frustration, if I lived close by I'd even offer to help you hide the body lol. I'm not married but my kid's friends have abused my plants. My son had a birthday party with seven boys that spent the night and one of them kicked over my jade that was on a plant stand and it was picked up but a lot of leaves and branches and dirt was on the ground, I was very mad. And my daughter's friend took the leaves of my swiss cheese plant and stuck them into the holes of the other leaves, which ended up ripping a lot of the leaves. ..she got an ear full and I told her to never ever lay a finger on my plants again!! I really hope your tree survives, its a beautiful tree that I would love to buy myself my own but have never seen it for sale anywhere near me and online they're very spendy. It depends on whether you want Cutting roses foe taking them inside or you are just interested in a beautiful garden display. They have numerous roses that have ADR certificate which means that they should be resistant to PM, blackspot and rust, should be drought tolerant and self-cleaning. My floral fairy tale, Cinderella (fairy taleand Caramelle Fairy Tale are not ADRcertified because I must deadhead then; other than that they clean (caramella might have a few spots, not blackspot though. Of the climbers Laguna is awesome: clean and has wonderful fragrabce. I wish I could find a good spot for accommodating to order Kordes'climber, Aloha. so far I mentioned a few landscape plants I bought from them last year. In the HT category, in case you are interested, I would look at Caramel Antike and a few Freelander HTs - depending your color preference. They have other older HTs as well and those roses are very good. I would definitely buy Papa Meilland and Valencia from them and Would ask for 'leftover' Barkarole. THey alo list a number of old garden roses that would (should( work in your zone; I cannot comment on those, becasue they would probably not do well here in the southeast. Melissa, I did this with two montana Aureomarginata that I had. I wanted a really big clump... fast. Not wanting to disturb the roots on the first one, I planted the second a little way from the first. So, until they fill in the space, I have lost a little of the beautiful vase shape of the plant. Otherwise, I can't see that it did any harm. I suppose on varieties that vary greatly from plant to plant (June comes to mind), you may notice the difference.

I guess possibly the best way for you to make your decision is what is best for you personally. This is obviously one of those topics that causes people to have strong opinions one way or the other. It is definite that it is your property and it should not have been done. On the same token, it could be on your dry-wall, built-ins that you happened to not even see, or the back of a tile. I'm not making light of this, but I suspect this happens more than "we" are aware. I would also feel that it was meant as a blessing & not look into studying the words too much. I would ask yourself, is this going to bother me in the future. Is having it permanently covered up still going to cause me discontentment, hostility or anger. Are you going to feel some sort of bad karma having it there? If so, then have someone come in and have it removed. I would also advise to be very careful if you "tell-on" the person who did the writing on your cabinets. Please be aware that he may get fired and lose his and his families source of income. What he did was wrong, but I would not be able to sleep at night knowing he lost his job (probably over doing something he felt was a blessing). I would rather see the FU writers get canned once. So, if you decide you can not live with it there, please move forward. If you just want him to know that others (in the future) might not be as "tolerant or nice about his writings." Is it possible you could just contact him & give him the warning, rather than have him possibly get fired. This will nonetheless give you a story to talk about for many years. I wish you the best with your build and hope you enjoy your new home.

For a good chunk of years I patronized a hair salon that was run by a family. A man and his wife (or a woman and her husband, whichever you prefer, though the name of the shop was the man's name) . After some years, their 20-something daughter worked there too.

His name was Joseph. Her name was Anne. And yes, their daughter was Joanne.

This made me think of my dad's family boat, which they named using all their first initials and the last 2 letters of their surname. When he bought a boat for our family he used the same name with II after it.
