Suggestions for exterior trim please!!
Comments (46)B F I want to get some greige samples, I think it'd be the right tone, I thought about red too but I worry the red might make that weird pink/muave color pop more. I'd love to make it mid century modern looking, we're keeping the blue tub in one of the spare bathrooms and I'll modernize it with tile and vanity and we're also keeping the brass kitchen cabinet pulls I just gotta put in some elbow grease to get them looking good again. Yes, single story brick ranch homes are evvvverywhere, also in the 90s they did a lot of big boxy 2 story brick houses in red brick or white. For some reason Houston is especially strange, I grew up in Austin but some house designers in the 80's got very... creative. there's quite a few houses with an attached garage that doesn't face the street they face the house and from the front there's literally no visible windows or doors, it's so odd. My neighborhood is a hodgepodge, some classic 60s homes with those awnings above the windows and one of the neighbors across from me has a huge knock off tudor looking home from the 80s with amber stained glass windows....See MoreNeed suggestions for exterior paint and trim... help!
Comments (10)I do love the olive theme, however, the brick has more blue/gray rather than green, for some reason the photos do not capture this. I initially wanted green siding but when I got the samples they clashed too much with the brick, which is why i moved toward neutral grays. I love the idea of taking the shutters off and it does look a lot cleaner!!! I'll just need to be brave and take the off now before the painters come so I can get used to it. Thank you guys so much for your help, I definitely have more clarity now....See MoreBrick Cape Cod Exterior Trim Paint Suggestions
Comments (8)I don’t like the look of cedar posts on this style house at all. I think a creamy off-white would look lovely … with the brick, roof, everything. The front door could be any color you like with these neutrals. For the lower level, I’d match a color from the brick as close as possible. I’d consider removing the shutters from the wider window. Freshen up the landscape and add nice porch furniture. The entry could be very welcoming!...See MoreNeed Trim/Accent Stucco Color to complement Yellow Exterior Paint
Comments (68)I don't mind the white, but in that latest rendition it looks very washed out. If you had a terra cotta spanish roof tile, it would be fine, (Like this one) but w/that gray asphalt roof? I think you need some contrast or some wood. I love this style garage door in a dark color. I'd also do the roof fascia trim in ithe darker color, the window trim, and I brought in the wood slat under this front window (but you could also do the slat wood around the front door area too) Even w/the landscaping in first pic, notice the stone pathway, the urns, the DG, and I love those garage doors. Here's a stucco home w/a very light grayish white, white trim, but again, notice the dark garage door Imagine this home w/the white trim and white garage door, and a white retaining wall! see what I mean? Maybe Celery could somehow work in the darker trim, door and wood? maybe some slats in front or the retaining wall? another way to spice up the retaining wall: I still like a dark stucco color...See More- 3 years ago
