Exterior curb appeal help needed

Hi! I am looking for ideas on how to improve the curb appeal of this 1955 home that underwent an addition in 2017. The addition was to add the front right room, a covered porch and update the front doorway area. In my opinion, the roofline now looks heavy and the original peak sticking out looks kind of off. We are tossing around a few ideas:

  • rip off the rough cut limestone across the front facade and replace with the smooth limestone to match the column
  • rip off rough cut and stucco the whole thing similar to the rest of the house
  • do something with the roofs — either completely change the color scheme of the stucco and roof and/or redo in a metal roof or tile roof or just change the porch roof materials.
  • any other ideas or thoughts?
I like the color of the lighter stucco and dark roof but I’ve also attached an inspo pic of a grey stucco I kind of like with a brown colored roof and blac scents.
    Thanks in advance!
