I would like to remove fan over dining room table and replace with identical lighting fixtures at either end of table. Stanley coastal furniture, condo living. Thanks.

Hi Linda, maybe instead of two fixtures over your dining table you can use a custom made glass chandelier. See below image for inspiration. This glass pendant comes in different colors and sizes that could match your décor.

I was asking recently about a hood and small pendants (older thread). My solution involves the symmetry of two small pendants working with the hood. I like high-hats for their unobtrusive lighting, but my personal taste is to have something decorative providing some light and some style at the same time. I say yes, do a pendant. It's hard to visualize your space, but from the description I'm thinking a long bar light over the peninsula, and the hood over the island.

I think a triple light is too much. 9 lightbulbs? you could land a plane in there! go w/a double light fixture. 6 bulbs is plenty. any chance of removing that huge mirror, doing two separate mirrors, and installing sconce lighting ? (these are pendants, but sconces would give the same look) lighting like this is so much better for doing make up or something like this?
