Need recommendations for light fixtures -- replace builder fixtures

Hello

Two of the bathroom light fixtures have broken in the home. Decided time to switch out what we have. Looking for recommendations.

Moving towards more chrome fixtures rather than oil rubbed bronze items.

Would eventually like to change the wall color as well (builder beige ...) to a lighter color, I believe SW Greek Villa, 7551

I think a triple light is too much. 9 lightbulbs? you could land a plane in there!

go w/a double light fixture. 6 bulbs is plenty.

any chance of removing that huge mirror, doing two separate mirrors, and installing sconce lighting ? (these are pendants, but sconces would give the same look)

lighting like this is so much better for doing make up

or something like this?

Those glass globes will have to be washed often because of steam and dust

Phillips makes a drop-in replacement LED - simply switch out the old tube. No conversion req'd. Just need to decide your temperature (Kelvin) - there's several to chose from. I've swapped out about 50 old fluorescent tubes with these with no problems. Although these tubes are thinner they fit the T12 (1") fixtures fine. As far as I know, a Kichler light purchased from an authorized dealer (and Amazon is an authorized seller of Kichler products, per the Kichler website) are identical to Kichler lights purchased from a different authorized dealer, no matter who purchases them. We are in the process of redoing the landscaping in our backyard, and it involved putting in a low wall with three post lights. Our licensed landscape contractor proposed a post light that can be purchased at Lowe's for $50 each. The light I wanted (and what we ended up purchasing) is the Salisbury post light by Kichler ($315 each, plus the pedestal mounts at $59 each, for a total of $374 for each light). I ended up buying them from 1 Stop Lighting (an authorized dealer). With the discounts that the site offered, I ended up paying $609.40 (plus tax) for all three lights and all three mounts, which works out to $203.13 each. The lights were shipped to us directly from Kichler.

Habitat for Humanity ReStores will generally accept light fixtures. There maybe other places you can donate fixtures in your area. For example, Community Forklift in Maryland. No, they won't install new fixtures for you. Replacing light fixtures is generally a pretty easy thing that you can do.

Six is plenty, but I'd want three over each sink, so with your arrangement, you may be stuck -- can't really just cover up wiring that comes through the mirror!

plenty of light w/a double over the sink, in the 3 spots. the middle one is close enough to give off the extra light to the right and left.

Thanks for advice. This is what the builder put in. If we omitted the middle light, it would be large hole in the cut out mirror. I'd have to see if my wife would be open to removing the mirror and putting in those light scones, but would certainly require more work between the electrician, dry wall repair/paint. Might be more of a project than we would like to do right now.

should be fine.

you can prob find the same or similar at lowes or HD. Easier to return if you don't like it.
