Thing about going outside I had forgotten all that I had here to work with. But in that figuring I have to understand the changes the plants will go thru. How that impacts them come winter when I have to bring them back in.

This time seeing how little space the plant is taking up in the 5lb inserts I'm dropping them down to 32oz inserts. I have hundreds of these 5lb cups so I can grow anything I can find space for.

Also brought out another 8 of the Brown Turkey figs out. An yes that rose bushes in the corner growing in media (dirt). I like to keep my hand in dirt sometimes just for the feel.

Here's where the big problems come in because the weeds like the mix as well. This weed collection is because I ignored them. The pear tree has been growing anaerobically for years while I was at the greenhouse. If it was later in the season after the fruiting I'd pull it out and weed it. Till then I'll pull the weeds. The insert is so old it falls apart every time I pull it out. I just don't want to interfere with the season.

An yes I was thinking of adding live fish for nutrients but the fish eat the roots system so there's really no benefit from having them.

. I ordered some seeds to add to the garden. Cocoa, Tea, Macadamia nuts and Kona coffee which really doesn’t mean anything because your not growing it in Kona. Never tried the Cocoa, none of the Tea I tried germinated and I already have several of the Macadamia nuts in the system here. I’m growing what you already saw, Fiddle leaf fig, Norfolk pines, Cashews, Orchids, Birds of Paradise, Pony Tail palms and others. Monstera’s, just a lot of plants grown just for the hell of it. You know I don’t have just citrus plants (I have those too) I have Citrus trees. You know I have to laugh about something. I bought the furry children a heat pad. Yeah, their spoiled. How spoiled. Well, the little one will sit there wagging her tail till you notice or she’ll start a little wine. She wants to be covered as well! And, an if she gets out from under to get a drink or food. She comes back does her little pillow dance and wait till I cover her again. If I take too long she yaps. But it’s cute.

The Strawberry plants have really taken off considering I haven't really done anything to them other planting other than potting them in an anaerobic system.

Brought out a Macadamia nut but it just might be two weeks early. I'll just keep brining it in. This was started from seed in the system anaerobically. There are several I'll wait to bring out with it.

These are the Barbados nut plants that I put out early and had to bring in. Some had recovered over night but I won't put them out again till Sunday. Because of the lay out of the yard there are several micro climates in place. There 15-4gal containers so far. (going to 16) Interestingly enough starting them inside for those 90 days I see flower pods developing. These are hooked up to an air system no water pump exchange takes place. In fact there's no water pump at all.

I was looking over the internet searching to see if any one else is growing coffee, fruits or any large trees hydroponically. If you find any with picture or "video" I'd be interesting to compare ideas.

This is one of the hot peppers from last year. Since I grew it last year it survived the winter inside.

Started 5 Sago seeds sprouted 5 days after putt in in the system.

Started to bring the 32oz insert and 5lb container combinations grown over winter anaerobically. Really couldn't tell a number yet. These were grown to add to the different types of plants that can be grown aerobically or anaerobically. So that's a Cashew, 2 Norfolk pines, Monsteria, Orchid and Fiddle Leaf fig.

Each year this garden gets easier but I keep adding different types of plants.

I was thinking I should start posting pictures of the different types of plants I have growing in the system. Something I liked looking at tho was the change from Anaerobic to an aerobic one. Look at the difference less than a month has on a peach tree whip.

In just a few weeks it will be mid year. I'm still putting plants out, still finding plants I forgot about.

A Red Japanese Maple. The insert was so old it fell into the container.

Grew Moringa last year and noticed the bulb or tuber it makes when growing. Those lasted thru the winter with green stems. Got then out as well.

Sorry I haven’t gotten back with what’s going on in the Green Place. You know being under the shade of trees you’ve grown from seed and whip. Well yeah that’s nice but some one has to run the hose and power lines. Somebody has to get all this puzzle together. But it’s still nice to look up every now and then. Here’s a problem I’ve been noticing and again it’s about sunlight. The plain sunlight hitting the plastic is heating the water if painted black but now unpainted show’s a warming as well. Thinking I’ll leave the first row of three pods for 5lb media. That sliver of sunlight really hits only the top’s of that line of plants. I’m having a tickle because I have power lines and hoses already strung out. Seems I was thinking about this before the greenhouse. Of course the one line that doesn’t work is the last one to set up. One board holds 80-5lb containers. Two boards means 160-5lb containers or spaces. 80 of those will get 4hrs sunlight while the other nearly 7hrs. The hottest time the 7hr side is blocked for 3hrs. That will change to about 2hrs by the Summer Solstice. Lost 250gal Rain water to a loose hose. Had to use city water for the first time in ten years. Better believe I figured out something better. That was one of those times they say makes you grow hair on your chest or pull it off your head. But hey that’s why we’re out here, well not yet it’s still too hot. I’ll give it another hour. If I get those running before dark I want to stretch out the hoses.

Most of these will be taken by plants I already have growing.

Changed my mind again because of space limitations. I'm going to use this combination of a 5lb insert with a 5lb container without air. That's a nearly one year old Macadamia nut tree that has grown from seed in that insert. This way I won't be limited to just one space because of connections.
