From this angle, I'm sorry to say I don't think the counter goes with the wall, backsplash or floor. Maybe a wider angle of the kitchen would change that impression, but this looks like a brown room with a black/white/gray counter.

I don't it goes with the new countertops. You may not even need one there. Can't imagine you splashing that far

Nope, the tiles are completely off. Quite frankly, none of the other elements in your kitchen “go” with that counter...the yellow walls, the mustard tiles, nor the floors.

You spent $$ on a new counter, without thinking about coordinating the the surrounding features? If you weren’t prepared to change the old stuff in the space, you should’ve chosen a different stone.

If cabs were white, I'd say no. With wood stain and floor that matches, maybe.

It seems that everything that is visible in the photo you posted is in warm tones except for the cool black/white/gray counter and the stainless refrigerator. So much else would have to change to make the counter work, not just the backsplash: furniture, wall color, floor, railings, artwork). It looks like the kitchen is open to the other spaces, so just changing backsplash and wall color might not be enough.

I think that although there is that color, the overall impression is that the color is off.

Possibly too dark and that is why it looks off.

I'm going to echo what everyone said above. Countertops clash with color scheme of the house. You need a warmer countertop with beige, brown, cream, gold, etc. Or if you want to keep new countertop, you will need to change cabinet color, flooring, and backsplash to coordinate.

From this one picture, I would say no. But I would also have said no to even putting tile on that piece of wall - it just looks odd. What does the rest of the kitchen look like?
