Renae in an apple tree?

I would love to get feedback from any of you who may have grown Renae in Virginia. I believe I am in zone 6b. I have an old orchard with about 6 apple, peach and cherry trees. One small apple tree is almost dead and I would like to use it as a trellis and grow a climbing rose into it. It's only about 15 - 18 feet at the most. This rose would be central in my garden so of course I want it all. Fragrance, low amount of thorns, blooms throughout season. I prefer pale pinks, creams, whites, or pale yellow. I have my dad's roses transplanted on one side of the tree and my vegetable garden plots on the other. The rose will get full sun as tree no longer has many leaves. The other trees do not shade it. This rose will be very visible as people drive up to our farm house. So, thoughts on Renae would be appreciated. Is it prone to BS in the humid foothills of VA? Is it as beautiful as pictures make it look? I'm open to other climbing roses that might work!
