HAVE: Misc Craft and some jewelry trade for seeds or other?
Comments (3)I'd be interested in your beading supplies, my 9-year-old granddaughter does beading. I have mostly seeds for edibles. My list is not current but could send good amounts of pumpkins, zucchini, mixed gourds, beans, ground cherries, giant gray-striped sunflowers, mixed zinnias, mixed marigolds, mixed hot or sweet peppers, I also have seeds from my silver maple and debra maple trees. In the spring I can dig up some Jerusalem artichoke roots. You can email me at mamahack@hotmail.com, I don't get in here very much anymore, not much time, but I do check my email daily. Thanks very much....See MoreNEW: Victoriana Garden & Craft Robin...Join Us Please!!!
Comments (69)So....I had all these great ideas, only to find out that I am only going to be able to fit so much in the box....with some creative packing I am hoping to get quite a bit of it in there, but we'll see....still making stuff. Here's what I have done so far: Painted wood tray, 2 bracelets, 4 pairs of earrings, 3 pairs of crochet embellished socks, 3 small doilies.... And part way through construction are: 2 mini shadow boxes, 4 tassel pairs, 3 wall plaquettes.... And still have all the supplies for some other things that I was hoping to make, but I will have too see how much room I have left in the box! I would upgrade the box to a bigger size, but the postage would be exhorbitant due to how much it weighs already! Netta...See MoreCraft Room or Craft Area
Comments (14)thank you Cathrugg ! My room was exactly the utility room in the house plan & the builders goofed & put it on blocks for the raised concrete foundation we have. DH told them to leave it, I always wanted a room to do crafts in so I got it. It has been a bit of a challenge sometimes with the longer than wider shape of the room but hey, I got a room right! I found inspiration for my craftroom by googling craftroom images & on the BH&G site. Also on these places like AOL decorating, home ideas, Southern living, southern accents, that have some hobby rooms & multi-purpose rooms you can tour. Have fun looking & dreaming up ideas! Comments (13)This is definitely an eating-the-elephant-one-bite-at-a-time situation with the paperwork. I've found it helps to just grab one file and go to another room- then you are only dealing with that one stack of papers and not looking at all the rest. I bet when you get started, you will find that you know pretty quickly what things to toss and what things to keep. Another tactic I've heard is to imagine what it will look like when it is all done. That's suppose to motivate you to get it done :^) More and more I have applied that Marie Kondo theory about keeping like things together. It does help especially with craft supplies. Just grouping stuff that goes together all together has eliminated a lot of unneeded duplicates. I've also found that sometimes when I get all the supplies for a particular craft together, it was very uninspiring and the whole lot goes to donation. The one craft I still enjoy above all others is sewing and in particular, sewing scrap style quilts. That means I have a lot of smaller pieces of fabric to get organized. Right now they are grouped with like fabrics, folded and put in gallon ziploc bags. Then those bags are all in a large, opaque rubbermaid tub. I've been going back and forth lately with the idea of moving them all to clear under bed style boxes (that will still fit in the closet) which would give better organization and easier access to them. Still don't know if I will eventually do that, but I wouldn't do that with all my craft supplies, only the ones that most interest me. Once you identify that, then they aren't clutter, they are something to organize. I also keep a couple of drawers of rather disorganized craft supplies- these I have little interest in and am keeping them for DD in case she has some interest in crafting with them. When she has outgrown them, out they will go, but until then they aren't worth the time to organize, only to hide away. You can do it. It might not happen overnight, but it can happen!...See Morebkay2000
