Try to match the color from the mortar for your garage doors and foundation. I would remove the shutters altogether since they're too big for the windows and don't really work with the style of windows. I would paint your window boxes in a pretty bright color light a dark blue/green along with your front door and the wrought iron door so that it disappears a bit. Fill your window boxes with seasonal plantings to add color and interest in place of the shutters.

Although it doesn't show well in the photo, I get the impression the railing on your porch is way oversized. And the hedge below it needs to go. Painting all the vertical corner trim on your house white is boxing it in. It stops the eye and squares up all the different parts of your home's facade. I would also eliminate some of the white below the 2nd story windows and above the garage door. You could use some lanterns flanking the garage and front doors. They should be 1/3 the height of the front door in all locations. Have a professional limb up the tree. It is pretty but is overtaking your home's curb appeal. Can you get better pix of the porch and front door for us?

Your 4th pic above shows some glass knobs and some round flatter ones that look like metal on a piece of white furniture. Are those the knobs that you want opinions on? "4. bathroom. In process of remodel. Light above tub and pictures just added as well as shelves on right side of sink. Will be adding new sink faucets and granite. Purchased chrome light fixture for above mirror already. Started replacing hardware with chrome knobs. I am willing to change everything except the lights, towel rack and sheOf as I can no longer return them!"

I assume by modern you mean more up to date. Not necessarily modern style like sharp corners, colder tones.... I love what you did and I think adding black trim would be amazing. Remove the landscape. You don’t need much by the porch. You need some by the right side of the house and for that I’d do something neat and simple. Two rows of boxwoods? I would for sure update the walkway. Maybe the same whitewash brick in a herringbone pattern. And can’t wait to see the new shutters. This is such an awesome home!! Love it. Love what you did.
