Ahhh... I sort of understand now. Are you planning to paint only the wall with the blue line or all three walls in the space? I wouldn't stop the paint as you suggested unless you do some kind of fun painting technique like this... but without knowing where that wall goes, it's hard to give advice on where to stop. I think a nice color on the wall could really frame the kitchen area. Or you could paint just the wall with the window which would be an obvious accent wall.

She read my description and didn’t like some of the existing items (a stainless range with white floating glass fridge and white dishwasher), and a brick wall. I don’t have budget to replace appliances that work fine so the white remains, hopefully for a few more years. White cabinets will help keep them from sticking out too much. The thing that confuses me is the end of the kitchen I posted photos of. It’s the furthest from the windows and painted this dark colonial green that makes it even darker. The crown molding (which doesn’t go with the house) is continuous across the cabinet tops and doorways, so I’m afraid I have to paint the whole section the same. But I was looking for thoughts on whether I have to do that or if there’s a creative way to make it look more like walls and cabinets, instead of a huge chunk of cabinetry, if that makes sense. a paint sample is taped to the laundry cabinet door...

@Patricia Colwell Thanks so much! I really like the Gray Wisp. :) I also just looked at Quiet Moments. I have some existing furniture that I will have to work with, and am going to order Samplize squares to see if one of these green grays works. I haven't posted photos as to be honest, right now my home is totally torn up with boxes of packed materials, along with all of the construction tools, boxes of flooring, and cabinets stacked in every room. There just isn't much to see. Do you know off hand what Sherwin Williams colors are similar to the Gray Wisp/Quiet Moments? I've seen Sea Salt which I just read is similar but I recall it looking more blue in the space I saw it in. My contractor will be using SW paint. Have you seen Gray Wisp in North and East facing rooms? I tried samples of several of the more greige colors and they were very cold and drab in those rooms. I am not wanting a super cool effect, and would like something that leans subtle and warm. I appreciate you taking the time to offer me suggestions!
