Which cabinet hardware to go with Fantasy Brown countertops?
After several weeks of research and after visiting several stone yards I have decided to go with Fantasy Brown for my countertops. It is a leathered finish which is beautiful and feels so nice!!
I'm trying to bring some warm tones into my new kitchen so I thought that champagne bronze would look nice. But, I can't seem to find many pictures of kitchens with Fantasy Brown counters and gold-toned cabinet hardware!
My kitchen will have:
-White Cabinets
-Stainless Steel sink & faucet
-Oak wood floors (medium/dark stain)
Should I change my choice of cabinet hardware? What finish do you think works best with Fantasy Brown and white cabinets? See attached pictures...

3 years agolast modified: 3 years agoI like what you've chosen. However, I wouldn't do the SS faucet or the sink. too much gray. Fan. brown is on the cooler end of the spectrum w/blue/grays.
looks like this. (this is honed FB marble. you know it's a marble, right?)
if you want to warm things up w/the champagne, fine, but bring in a bronze or darker sink
BTW, if you have an L shape countertop, make sure they cut your slab so that it looks like this^. if not, you'll have the veining going in opposite directions on the corner seam.
white farmhouse is always nice
if you want the gold, I'd also suggest doing a warm wood somewhere. either the floor or an island, or bring in some wood w/shelving or a vent hood
you said oak floors, so here is a medium brown oak floor w/FB island, and gold/black pendants.
maybe an antique bronze color would work better? or the color 2nd from the bottom

Comments (5)Herr, I believe we are doing squared edge for our granite counters. Our kitchen has a coffered ceilings so on one side we will have an 8 foot ceiling so the cabinets will go up to that ceiling and then on the other, we have 9 foot ceilings and they will go up to the ceiling there. I agree with your thoughts on if they will be the right scale. We are actually meeting with our builder and the trim guy tomorrow. Comments (9)We reused our dark stained oak cabinets when we renovated our house last year. We did a new center island with gray cabinets since we couldn't match the older cabinets we had. We picked brown fantasy leathered for our countertops because of the brown and grey coloring. I've gotten many compliments and am very happy with the way it turned out. Here are some pics: edited to add: Our brown fantasy is not as richly variegated as the one you show. Your slab does not have as much brown as ours does. I do think that makes a difference. Comments (8)I think Sea Salt or Comfort Grey by Sherwin Williams would look beautiful. We have both of these colors in our beach condo and they are gorgeous. They have a hint of green/blue and grey depending on lighting. We are putiing comfor grey in our bathroom with the fantasy brown granite. We are putting fantasy brown in our kitchen too. In our kitchen we are doing Fawn Brindle which is a neutral but has a slight green undertone. I'm hoping it will go nicely with the granite. 3 years agoSlab backsplashes are “in”! That’s what I did, a simple, timeless 4 inch. I dislike grout :). For extra drama, a larger slab behind the stove ... not sure how that would look in your kitchen ... just an idea, but something to do now before countertop install if that’s what you decide
