Fantasy Brown & Greige Cabinets
Comments (9)Here is a photo of my fantasy brown against my greige tile and paint (SW Repose Gray). The fantasy brown looks busy when compared to Calacatta or Carrera marble, but on it's own in a kitchen, it looks quite calm. What is the light like in your space? If you have good light, I think the greige would look great. This post was edited by cstr on Fri, Jan 9, 15 at 16:53...See MorePaint suggestions to match Brown Fantasy counter
Comments (13)I understand not being able to replace the tile; but if the plan is to replace it when you can afford to, I would demo the tile when you take out the counters. I would not want to demo tile once my brand new counters were in. Skim coat/sand, repair the walls as needed and just paint until you are ready to tile. Look at BM Pale Oak...looks slightly warmer than Vale Mist in my house....See MoreDark Gray cabinets with fantasy brown granite countertops?
Comments (16)Not enough contrast. The gray would have to be warm (more beige rather than gray) for BOTH cabinets AND back splash. A soft white is stunning against the HEAVY MOVEMENT of Fantasy Brown. I don't think your wife can appreciate the heavy impact that stone will have. You do NOT need any more "colour" in this space. The counters and the floors have PLENTY. Comments (40)Alyssa987 - I had Dallas White on my list for a short time because it was a lighter granite but it wasn't one that I loved and swooned over. The granite yards near me don't seem to carry a lot of white granites, so I haven't been able to see ones like White River or Colonial White in person. I read about staining issues with Kashmir White so I immediately took it off my list. It's tough because the different granite yards call the same granite different names....See Moredafussells
