AGA? They have a 48" induction or gas. lots of ovens but they are not huge.

Ilve/Hallman range would look beautiful with an English style kitchen, they are both made in Italy (same factory). I absolutely love mine, and it's half of your budget (Nostalgie, or the Hallman...Majestic will take your $$$)...so that allows for good ventilation and make-up-air.

@lucky998877 I have researched the Hallman. Seems to be some conflicting reviews about reliability. Do you have the self cleaning panels? I definitely don't want to manually clean any oven.

the original AGA is an English range. The ovens would be on all the time and would be used to heat a home. They have now developed new ranges for more modern cooking styles. (mercury or elise). I looked into it when we were considering building a house but had to scrap a 48" range due to ventilation costs.

Besides the aforementioned Elise and Mercury, AGA Legacy is one to look at. It has the more traditional look of the original Agas, without the huge cost and “always on” heat output. It’s a beautiful focal point in my kitchen and I’ve been quite happy with its looks and performance.

Is the 48-60" width for aesthetics or because you believe you need that many burners?

Your current setup seems more practical (lots of oven space, with the ergonomic advantage of having the ovens above range height).

There is always the option to put two ranges next to each other, too - though having some gap between them for a landing zone for pots might be prudent if you really think you would have al your burners in use at once.

For an English inspired kitchen, the Aga Elise is a no brainer, but you may want wall ovens as well. I looked at them very seriously for my kitchen, but felt the aesthetic of La Cornue worked better in my space (200 year old house vibe). Lacanche might work well too, and people are very devoted to the brand. I think Hallman/Ilve would also look nice, but I can’t speak to the quality.

Aga Elise is called Falcon in the UK , so try that for looking up reviews.

@Isaac It is for aesthetic reasons because it goes with the style of my new kitchen.

@Tiny J the La Cornue is gorgeous. How long have you had it? Any issues with reliability? Is it easy to clean? I have seen mixed reviews on it.

Sonya, it’s an absolute delight. No electronics so it’s easy for any good repair person to deal with (I’m in a rural area, so this was really important for me), very easy to clean, and the plaque is a dream to use. The ovens are smaller, but that hasn’t been an issue for me at all, I like that they heat up faster. I highly recommend the brand. It was a big expenditure, but she was absolutely worth it, she adds endless charm & authenticity to the kitchen, and is fun to use.

Sonya, they are crazy expensive (the Aga is far more attractively priced ) but you can often find lightly used or floor models on eBay or Craigs List.
