How to add a branch to an existing faucet line?

Recently moved in to a new home and the wife wants a bidet installed. The supply line is 3/4" PEX and appears to have a male barb fitting crimped. The line to faucet is 3/8" metal pipe of some sort attached to the male barb with a compression fitting. The bidet has a 1/2" male pipe thread. I purchased some flex pipes at the local home depot (3/8" Comp x 1/2" FIP) hoping to connect the bidet to some sort of 3-way stop valve. But I am not having much luck finding the right part. What part should I be looking for and what size? Would you recommend a different approach? Thanks for taking a look!
