Living Room Rug - Need recommendations!
Comments (11)Maybe take a look at Ben Soleimeni rugs? https://bensoleimani.com/ Depending on the size you need, some will come in under your budget while delivering a fair bit of neutral sophistication. (You may remember his name from the work he did with Restoration Hardware) I am also a big fan of the Karastan non wools, like the Euphoria line. Hard to rec without knowing more about your style and how neutral you want to be. For example,is this sort of rug too colorful? https://www.rugstudio.com/karastan-spice-market-mossbrae-vanilla---sapphire-area-rug.aspx Too lively? https://www.rugstudio.com/loloi-ehren-ehr-04-oatmeal---ivory-area-rug.aspx#206569x7__73900...See MoreNeed Living Space Area Rug Help!
Comments (6)Notice how big the sample rugs are. Don't skimp. They should slip under the front 1/3 of the seats and extend past the ends by a foot or more. Tape it out on the floor with painter's tape and measure. If it isn't a standard size, go up in size if you can....See MoreNeed help living room area rug
Comments (26)I kind of like this color palette for your room, so I might look for a rug that is less boisterous and has a light base with bits of the darker color throughout. Maybe even a bit of the color of your floor for some zip. Really like Night Train and Shoreline. If you're willing to go bolder with the green, it would be great to see something brighter and more rich than the wall color. I was going to suggest this gorgeous rug until I found out it's over $4k! These next three photos are supposedly of the same rug, but any way you go with it, I like the colors and subtle pattern for your room. The blue-grays and yellow-greens seem to work....See MoreNeed recommendations for small/medium tree in Chicago area
Comments (9)how big are you buying.. and how many years are you willing to wait .... in tree time.. for it to grow to height ... ??? there are many more considerations.. than a name of a tree .... in this particular situation .. anything that will grow to the requisite height... in a short time... will not magically stop growing at said height.. and will soon.. in tree time.. become a problem ... as it will just keep growing... for your life time .... tree time is counted in decades.. not a season or two .. frankly .. i think your solution is a garden drape an the edge of the deck .. for immediate impact and use ... and then you could plant a tree to solve the problem in 10 or 15 years and if you are planting huge.. have it professionally done ... with a guarantee ... that hill/slope is going to be problematic.. a not only as to planting.. but also proper watering for the number of years it will be required for a transplant .... and even longer for a huge transplant ... lawn irrigation will not be enough or proper in transplanting .... i used balcony for the search term... as deck solutions would probably be more ground level https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffnt&q=garden+drape+for+balcony&iax=images&ia=images ken ps: buying and maintaining a single trunk.. is just a matter of some pruning... of which it is easy to become expert at.. it should not be thought of as magical nor mysterious ... birch can have borer issues .. though some 'claim' to be resistant .. yeah.. sure .. the one you sold me had such claim.. and it wasnt .. and i doubt you will get a z5 mag to get that large .... in your lifetime anyway ... and in z5.. arbs arent going to grow all that fast ... pps: where are you .... big city name.. z5 is about half the US... and very divergent for reasons other than min winter temp ... which all zone is .......See MoreUser
