We had a fellow in our state build this table for us for our breakfast nook, made out of cherry, we had him use the same stain on it as our kitchen cabinets. It seats up to 7 and is perfect for jigsaw puzzles.

These are seats that came out of Fenway Park where the Boston Red Sox play. The company that makes these is located in a neighboring town from us.

I had this table made locally after seeing one like it made of white oak in AD magazine... and hunting it down to find it retails for $16,000. LOL Not. Mine is not pointed on the ends like the original, but DH still calls it the surfboard table.

Annie, your picture ops for the week have really got my wheels turning this morning! Decisions, decisions! Looking through my options, I keep getting side tracked.

I'll start with this shadow box made for me by my then 94 year old neighbor. Gosh, that was nearly 40 years ago!

A few years back, a neighborhood kid decorated the sidewalk on my street with several humorous stories. Here is one.

My young friend is an artist, working in paper cutting. The name for this art is Scherenschnitte. Her work is amazing. Here is a small one I bought.

Ristras! Red chiles grown right here in New Mexico. Strung on twine to be hung inside or outside our homes. Used to make our delicious red chile sauce or just for decorations. Pronounced RHEE-strahs.

Made by a local artist. Wish I knew his name, so I can look for other work by him. Love it, just love it.

This is a table made of pine by husband in Montreal. He also carved the loon on bottom shelf and the green eyed teal on top shelf. The carved trapper was done by an artist in Quebec City.

My new end table. We visited a local woodworker's shop intending to have it made from Ash, but I fell in love with Osage Orange. He pointed out where the tree had stood along the road, until a big storm took it down about 15 years ago. He warned me that when freshly worked, the wood is practically fluorescent! It will take a year or two for it to mellow to the golden-chestnut color of his sample; I can be patient.

So many beautiful handmade items by our members and beautiful furniture and that stained glass! I am in awe.

I think I have posted this before. My niece painted this last spring in honor of the nearby high school graduates and really for everyone to enjoy and photograph. It was painted on the side of a nearby building scheduled for demolition to make way for new construction and is now gone. sponsored by the building owner and the HS PTA. For reference, her DH, holding the ladder, is around 6'3".

Well heck, since this is hand made day, I made an aromatherapy jar this morning, and it only took five minutes. :) Baking soda and and and essential oil. Tiny holes on top.
