Roselvr, I'm scratching my head on this one. IVF these days is quite unlikely to produce high order multiples, meaning 3 or more. Many Reproductive Endocrinologists refuse to put back more than 3, and usually only in a case where they are not of high quality. I recently visited a clinic that only puts back one, and my clinic would only do two. Your friend sounds like many people I know who have never had fertility issues. Perhaps she did IVF for her 4, but I hardly think that it's a trend sweeping the nation - it's expensive, it's invasive, and it is (or often is) highly emotionally charged, even if the outcome is successful. Sorry for the OT rant. Mary Sorry, rereading my post, I guess I got side tracked looking at house pictures and never finished my thoughts or spaced it out.. My neighbor did not do IVF.. She had one right after the other. A playroom like this would have been great for her and the little ones. I was also thinking about someone that had multiples.. I'm glad to hear that places are not putting more then a few back. I watch the shows on TLC, Jon & Kate, the one with the 4 identical 5 year old girls, the lady from PA that had the little boy Sammy then had multiples and the most recent one I saw where they had 5. I could not imagine having that many little kids running around. Anyway.. back to the topic. I love the playroom. While I was at the agents site I saw they also have a recreation room, looks like it is in a walk out basement.

To me, shutters look dumb when they can't possibly cover the windows that they flank. Painting brick will be turning a low- maintenance exterior surface into a relatively high high-maintenance surface. That is not what I would be wishing for on my house. Apart than the shutters, it is nice-looking house from the street. I would not mess with it for a while. The interior shots make it look like some nice spaces too. If I owned it, I would be jumping around like your girls are.

Thanks so much everyone! I really appreciate all your suggestions. I guess my downfall is that I'm a 'researcher' - I have to see ALL my options out there before I make a decision. Definitely no impulse buys for me - ha! But then of course, it drives dh bonkers because it takes me FOREVER to make up my mind! :) I was actually thinking of a warm cream or light yellow. Dh really wants to paint the floor sage green (which I don't really love, but I rarely let him have his way - haha). So do you think a pale yellow would look ok with a sage green floor? Does anyone have examples or pics of a nice soft yellow (I don't want anything TOO yellow). teacats, I love your art idea! I do really like some of those animal prints or we might even try to paint some ourselves. I was definitely thinking of having dh build a bookcase w/ colorful bins for storage, then I also want to have an arts/crafts area (with a dry erase wall to write on) then also a kitchen/baby doll area, reading nook w/chairs, sports area w/balls & bikes, and then a dress up area too. My problem is I have so many ideas - I just have trouble executing them all! Does anyone know of any cute kids rugs (bright stripes or some type of motif) for under $200? Since the dining table + play area will likely be changing over time, I'd put the large piece of art over the sofa, where it has the best light. For the dining + play area, I'd suggest installing a picture rail at ceiling height, then hanging the pictures from it. That will let you move things around as your needs change, without filling your walls with holes. Maybe row of black and white photos, not too small, would look good across that wall.
