9 inch spacer at back of oven? Doable?

My 35 year old commercial grade Vulcan is about to bite the dust. I want to replace this oven with a Lacanche range. The only place the new oven can go is a deep (33 inches) nook dedicated to oven space and where the Vulcan now sits. The Lacanche has to stand proud of the 33 inch nook but is only approximately 25 inches deep, meaning I would need a spacer at the back of 8-9 inches.

The oven comes with only a 2 inch flat (island) spacer. The folks at Lacanche say I can simply get a fabricator to make such a 9 inch spacer. i assume a local fabricator will match the grit etc and can do it, but is that the right solution? Will having 9 inches of spacer between the back of the oven and the (brick) wall look goofy? I am tall so am not worried too much about reaching the area to clean it etc.

I guess I could put another row of bricks on the back but that seems like a lot of work for a few inches. Thoughts? has anyone seen such a deep spacer and did it look okay?

Many many thanks.
