NewHB: Thanks!! The flowers and herbs (both in pots and in the garden) have actually managed to stay alive this year -- thanks to slightly cooler (and now chilly! LOL!) temperatures around Dallas! The silk flowers in the large half-basket have been replaced with fall ones -- always a nice change! Of course the front door area is now filled with spooky Halloween decor! LOL!

they don't do plain old gray screens anymore? do you have a pic of what it looks like w/the black or the white screens? also, remove those shutters. they don't work at all on the large window, and are useless on the smaller window.

Kolbe Forgent black exterior windows have several white interior options: 1) white Glastra, 2) white factory painted wood, and 3) primed wood. They are also available in several wood species in case you want to stain them. Their wood interiors are an over-layment that attaches to the fiberglass interior, so the wood is not exposed to the elements outside. I just installed black exterior/white wood interior windows 6 months ago and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them and would make the same purchase again. The Glastra window frames themselves only come in two colors: white and tan (Sahara). Then, if you want black or bronze, they paint a very nice and durable coating over the white or tan Glastra/fiberglass window frames. On the outside, the entire frame is coated. On the inside, there is a portion of the frame that is uncoated, so you will see a difference between the bronze/black and the white or tan frame. (I am speaking only about casement windows and can't speak to what they do on other window types.) See photos below.

IMO the tree is offensive and I love trees but the house is totally dwarfed by that tree and the light in the house must not be great with all that shade. I know lots of places do not allow tree removal but that is what I would do in this case. As for the roof I think any of those would work but since the gutters are now black I would go as dark as possible since IMO gutters are not decor items and should match the roof. I think removing the awning and replacing it with a nice black metal and glass one would be great .I would paint the shutters the same as the house since they really do nothing to enhance the home.
