Lavender color for little girls room

Hi all! I’m looking for a good Benjamin Moore color for my 4 year old daughter’s room. She’s requested purple. I‘d like it to be somewhat neutral because I haven’t decided on bedding yet and would like to have more options and also have the flexibility to change the decor relatively easily if she wants to as she gets older without having to repaint in a few years, so I’d like to find a nice lavender shade for her. I love the Touch of Gray and Winter Gray swatches because of the gray undertones but they’re presenting very gray in her room (it’s Southwest facing). has anyone found a good lavender that would present more purple than these two in a southwest facing room?

Experience tells me, that in three or 4 yrs, she will want another color, so you will be painting it again. LOL Let her pick her colors now and enjoy her room. As she gets a bit older, her tastes will change, and she will want something entirely different.

I love purple in ALL its forms, and green goes so lovely with it. I know you said sophisticated, but don't know if you meant more modern, or just not girly. None are necessarily the colors you want, BUT many use complementary colors which would be easy to change out to lavender/green. Thank you all for responding and posting pictures. I absolutely love the green and white together, it looks so crisp and fresh. I really like the look with black/brown accessories also. Momtotwins their room is precious, that's what I'm talking about. We don't have a BM store here so I'll have to check out the Disney colors at HD, it never entered my mind while I was there. Tinkerbell was my inspiration. Thank you all again.

I had Macadamia in my great room and hallways in a previous home. I think it's a terrific color but would never put it in a little girl's room. Not at all a color that would go with pink or purple. What about a pale green?

Again, lighter and darker but both with more Chroma than Winter Gray.

So they are more colourful and therefore will appear less greyed by comparison.

Note that any color posted online will look a world different in person. Get samples.

I painted my second bedroom BM Marilyn’s Dress, thinking it would be a pale grey. Once the room was painted, it leaned towards Lilac and I bought bedding in different shades of purple. However, I can go grey if I want to change it up. You might want to get a sample. It could be just what you are looking for.

Lavender is a color used with North blue/gray light.

How about this idea? Paint the walls a color which loves lavender as an accent, but is the best companion with south light? It has a very romantic name and a 4 year old may fall in love with it:

B.M. Moonshine:

Paint the ceiling B.M. Spring Violet.

Sweet bedding and a fluffy rug…could last through grade school.

Add art your daughter loves on the wall….

This is a first time, fun, Mom/Daughter experience you will remember forever.

My daughter and I still do it and she is 50. Her summer Cape Cod house and, recently, (although delayed by covid), her Boston condo, keeps us together, having fun and spending her money.
