Installation questions for Bosch 800 induction range

I'm getting ready to have my countertop templated. The Bosch induction range is on back-order. The range has triangular wings on either side of the front edge of the range that supports the induction 3/4" countertop overlap. The installation instructions indicates that the countertop should be 25" deep to accommodate the range depth. Should I add a fraction of an inch to the 25" countertop depth to leave room for backsplash tile? If so, would an additional 1/2" be good to make space for the tile?

Also, the instructions say to use soap to slide the range into position, but I'm worried that soap left on the quartz would damage the countertop. Couldn't I just remove the warming drawer and then slide the range into position with feet raised and then crawl under the range to lower feet?
