So, we think we have it bad......a mask story

Today at the supermarket, I was looking for brown sugar. I saw a worker and asked him. But, he took out his phone and I realized he was probably deaf.

I asked him in sign language if he was deaf, then I was able to spell out brown sugar and the sign yes and thanks.

He gestured at his mask, and the jut was how hard to not be able to see faces, ie lip read.

Wow.

I felt good that I was able to reach back into my archives and use a skill I haven’t used to years.

Just don’t ask me what I ate for breakfast.
