Comments (34)Yeah, I've did without the search bar before too. Set my homepage to Google or whatever. And I've combined the menu bar, navigation, address bar and even bookmarks on my netbook to gain space. The reason I used Classic Theme Restorer was to put tabs back on the bottom, square them off, get my refresh icon out of the address bar and... I forget what else. :) Have fun and good luck....See MoreWhat's On Your Bedside Table & Walls?
Comments (44)Yes the south is known for their mopheads! I responded to your other thread re: hydrangeas. I'm zone 6B and I have a few micro climates that are probably about zone 7 so I can get away w/ growing some types of roses that typically don't do too well in our climate. My back hedge of Nikko blue hydrangea was in a lightly shaded area until my giant Blue Atlas Cedar came down this past Fall. Now my Nikkos's are in blazing sunlight. I have a heavy clay soil and I only water them occasionally when I see that they are getting very, very droopy typically in a heatwave. Then I'll get out the soaker hose and put it on for a few hrs. a day a few days in a row. I don't feed them but I do heavily amend the soil w/ iron to get a bluer shade. Our soil is very, very rich as I understand the original owner was a die-hard gardener. Since the cedar came down there isn't a bed of needles around the base of the hydrangea anymore & that used to help me get a better shade of blue. This yr. though one suffered an iron deficiency that was pretty easy for me to correct. Other than that I'm pretty much hands off w/ my hydrangea. This yr. some of them really took off size wise all of a sudden and I thought that it wasn't going to be a good yr. for them but my Nikko's are still flowering better than my 2 different versions of everblooming hydrangeas that are in my side beds. The Nikko blue row is at least 7yrs old but I plant at least 2 new hydrangea somewhere every yr. My in-laws just gave me an oak leaf hydrangea for my birthday last night for my white garden. I've never planted an oak leaf before so I'm looking forward to that. I'll have a bank of those surrounding the bistro area of our patio....See Morewwyd? bedroom wall help, headboard overlaps window - pics
Comments (29)Les, you are correct, this isn't our bedroom, though we've slept in it enough that it was temporarily (during construction) I guess I'm a creature of habit. Having been in my old home for 23yrs the ceiling fan and my bed were both centered in the middle of the bedroom and the ceiling fan was centered over the bed. I like the cool breeze - from Miami, need I say more? The dresser is opposite the bed, straight ahead. Closet is REALLY tiny, not even a twin bed would slide in there, I have a double. Not sure what I'll do with the valance. Had them all over the house. Personally, I like them, but everyone told me they were ugly and outdated. I still have them, I may just surprise the nay-sayers at some point later on. Nates, the table is square Forboystoo, Though I actualy loather Ethan Allen, I like the bed, have the dresser & hutch that goes with it. It's my daughters set from her bedroom, not an heirloom but like the way it goes in that room. We had a twin, full and queen to move in this house (and our king, but that was a given) and had to decide which way to go. We figured we'd get more out of the full and queen and got rid of the twin - hated doing so because that room was suppose to be the twin room - I would not be having issues if this stayed the way I initially intended (had sheets and window coverings to for the twin already) BUT, we've already been in the position that the full & queen were the right way to go, we've had visitors, the twin would not have worked. I guess it's me, and me being a creature of habit. We extended our master bedroom a few months ago by about 3 feet and we moved the fan over to have it centered over the bed, just like I had it in my old house. It's not centered in the middle of the room. I guess it's what feels comofortable. I guess we all have some quirks, and I know I have my share :) SIL is coming today for a visit with her BF, once she's gone I'll have to get in that room and see how the cubes will look with the bed the way it is. I'll take some pictures of it shifted over to post. This is just one room - there's so much to do in this house! Thanks again to you all!...See MoreHelp with bedside tables and general master bedroom decor
Comments (7)I’d get rid of the euros altogether, they look too tall for the headboard anyway. Can you put the bed on the wall to the right without knocking your head getting into bed? It looks like anyone on the right side currently would already be getting beaned by the ceiling if it’s that low? Can’t tell from the picture but it looks like the other wall is wider, and would give you enough space for larger night tables. Definitely the ones you have now are not the right size or height. This would give you space for large lamps as well, or sconces on adjustable arms above the tables if you prefer them. I’d also replace the comforter/duvet cover if possible to one with some color other than the beige of the walls and rug. Or a print that has some beige in it to tie it together. Right now everything is close to the same color and there is no contrast between light and dark items, so it all kind of runs together. Or a more colorful rug instead....See MoreJackie Knight
