What chandelier and end chairs should I get?

My table is 98" long, 43" wide with 3' between each side walkway. I have a new kitchen just off to the side of the table placement with oil-bronze hardware. Currently, the scroll wrought iron is dark oil-bronze. The table is open to living room (sofa/wine cabinet)

I am trying to be cohesive and farmhouse/transitional style. What chandelier and end chairs?

You have a lovely room and it will be worth the effort to take the time to locate the right furnishings. Try Pottery Barn for to get some ideas about stylish comfort. Some of their furniture is on sale now. With down-wrapped cushions and down throw pillows, it really is possible to be comfortable without resorting to a recliner! Also, if there is a Bassett Direct near you, it would be worthwhile to visit the store, as they provide complementary design services. We had a very good experience with a store here in Florida when we were refurnishing our second home in North Carolina. I took in the blueprints and the designer drew out possible furniture arrangments and did a marvelous job assisting us with our selections. Are you going to paint the grandfather clock too? Don't be so quick to create a monotone room. I would darken the coffee table top with a gel stain so it works with the darker end tables and clock. HERE is how one person did it. I might also darken the dining chairs. I'm confused as to how the end tables have the perfect width, but you want them to look larger! Perhaps you are overthinking the design. It looks balanced to me. Live with it for a while.

Thank you! I completely get what you mean, when looking at pictures online I see a bunch of beautiful kitchens that are great but they all look very similar. I like seeing what others suggest then I start to deconstruct it to make it fit my ideas. See, I first was thinking of getting the chairs but now I think you are right! I should get my settee first. I love the dusty pink color but I also wonder if I leave the settee off-white it would match the walls when I paint them white and give the illusion of a bigger room instead of cutting it with a different color. It's hard to see the texture on my walls, I'm also wondering if I should just make it a smooth texture too. Ah, so many details to pay attention too.

In this array you’re presenting, I do NOT like goldy mustardy color chair. I do like both the blue/ green & aqua chairs. I like the lighter aqua chair the best. It seems to pair better with sofa & rug tones. I see that combo with stong colors in wall art, coordinating throw for sofa & throw pillows with texture like the rug has.

I feel like the "safe" choice is the linear rectangle shape but I am getting thrown off by the scrolls in the wall art and the scroll pattern in the chairs.. I have been thinking the Graham Chandelier, Pottery Barn... I also like the Orb but think that may be too much...

I originally was going to post the Graham! But I felt something was "off" with that and the scroll art together. I didn't think of the chairs since the chairs aren't at the same eye level as the art and chandelier would be. Are you attached to the art that it will drive your decision for the chandelier? Based on your photos, it looks like you've been doing well making all your other selections so I'm wondering if the scroll art is throwing you off?

Exploring.. Hmmm, maybe having the scroll art and chandelier in the same material may be the issue as the chandelier and art seem to just blend into each other.

It’s hard to tell from the picture, but will chairs fit on the ends of your table? It looks like the pedestal would be in the way for a chair to pull up to the table.

The table is lovely. I don't think end chairs are needed. Your scroll art will compete with whatever chandelier you choose, so I would replace with something else. Make sure your electrician centers your new chandelier over your table and hangs it about 32 inches (more or less, depending on dimensions) from the table top.

I think the scroll art is making too much of a statement and impacting your other choices too much. I got this chandy recently and really love it. It might be too "scrolly" given your chairs.

Stop with all the curlycues around your home. You've stated you're going to farmhouse not Tuscan. I recommend you find a canvas landscape you like and select a linear chandelier with linen shades to direct the light in the room.

The concept of host and hostess chairs again is more Tuscan than Farmhouse. Too pretentious for farmhouse style. You could select colored chairs or rattan chairs to contrast if you like.

The Scroll decor on the wall actually dates your room, more so than the lighting you have now over the table.

Consider a modern farmhouse feel (see below) which will better compliment your contemporary living room, modern kitchen and your lovely table. I’d look for similar chairs for the ends (try second hand) and paint them all black. A modern/rustic chandelier, and art (vs the ornamental metal) will finish off the room

I LOVE the chandelier Beverly posted with the canvas art. I do think the scroll thing, while very pretty , is fighting just about any light fixture in there.
