Do you see what I see?
Comments (7)I was able to take advantage of this today, I gave away my compost bin on freecycle, and the young woman who took it was surprised to hear about WS. I was able to tell her to check Garden Web, she said she comes here once in a while but now she will definitely check out GW again and look for WS. So glad they decided to feature this forum. Comments (31)I like both of the blue paint colors, they read "masculine" and really bring out the deep jewel tones in the rug. I'm partial to the first one but I'm not sure what they look like IRL, of course. Sorry, I don't see warm tones, or pillows, or baby pictures in this room. I think a stripe in navy blue, hunter green and/or burgundy might be nice for the drapes. I think the hunting prints would be a more interesting grouping if they included one or two matted prints, maybe an old sepia tone, to change things up. I'm racking my brain trying to remember where I saw it, but a pair of round footstool/coffee tables would be more useful and practical than one of either IMO. Ditch the drapes, and the wrought iron piece (love the art poster idea). I'm not sure about the chandelier, I think I would use ivory shades. Maybe a dart game, with the appropriate cork-lined case that would open to protect the walls. A cigar cutter and ashtray on the end table. Brandy snifters and cognac on the bar. I would want a (pocket?) door installed, so that I didn't have to be disturbed by the lions den goings on, that's just me. If the man reads, he'll want a better lamp and a sturdy bookshelf, if he's a music lover, he'll need space for a stereo too....See MoreDo you see what I see?
Comments (15)I did see what you saw in my neighbors yard just last week.Since the yards are all fenced off , with very few areas for a small animal to get by, I was stunned to say the least to see a family of gosslings walking around her yard for a couple of hours..Never did see how they finally exited, but the funniest thing was at least a couple of hours later they were seen parading down my street. Photograph was printed in local newspaper....See MoreWhat do you hide and what can you see...
Comments (14)I also believe in having a well run organized home--everything has it's place. I have lots of organizer compartments in my drawers to stash all the pencils, keys, extraneous clutter, etc. I just bought a set of pretty baskets for my DH's closet because I was tired of looking at the clutter in his shelves when his closet was open. I'm thinking of getting some smaller sized wicker containers for some cubbies I have in my message center. Or I could get some cardboard boxes and cover with fabric... next year sometime. Yet, are things always put back? With three kids and my DH, most certainly not. I also don't like wires showing yet my DH is a tech nut and we have lots of tech goodies which are in various stages of completion--due to many demands on his time--so in theory once the area gets finished, I'm going to hide all those wires. I am fast becoming a fan of wireless stuff, though. I just got a new keyboard and mouse last week for my computer and they are wireless. Love, love, love it!!! That and well placed grommits and putting outlets in cabinets wherever possible. We have an outlet in the masterbath hutch for the sonicare so no toothbrushes setting out, outlet and phone jack in cab. below for message center, plus outlet in office cabinet for the charging station for all the phones, cameras, and DH's misc. tech goodies....See Moremaddielee
