The whole Super Bowl experience is being directed to reflect awareness of the virus. One of the honorary Team Captains is a nurse (a friend of our daughter) from an area ICU unit.

Companies are hurting somewhat financially. One estimate is that CocaCola lost almost 50% of its sales due to the virus. Concession sales were close to nil. Restaurant sales way off because most people that buy take away do not order beverages.

No, I'm not a pro football fan. Several decades ago I switched my main sports interest away from American football to the REAL and original football, soccer. The world's game. I most closely regularly follow the English Premier League. All league matches are available to watch live or at a later time of my choosing. An added bonus is that with soccer broadcasts, there are no commercials to interrupt the action - the games are two halves of 45 minutes each that run from start to finish with no stopping. Commercials are at halftime and before and after.

I go to Super Bowl parties but do so for the party part. Enjoy your game, hope the team each of you choose to favor wins.

I never watch unless my team is playing (they came close this year but no cigar). Just have no interest in it otherwise. And one can always see the best commercials and any halftime highlights on the news the next morning!

Someone is spreading misinformation. Or maybe even disinformation. This is incorrect.

The Coca-Cola Company is a public company and needs to publicize and communicate its results of operations quarterly. For the quarter to Sept 30, 2020 (the most recent one released), sales and earnings from operations were down but each less than 10%. They remain profitable.

The game will be on at our house, but I won’t really be ‘watching’ as I don’t have an interest in either team. Tom Brady is interesting to watch, but so are the Chiefs, as well as some of the individual players in both teams. And usually some of the commercials are funny and fun to watch. I find them less so in recent years.

I usually prefer to tape the game. This eliminates all the useless hoopla and endless "so and so is the best ever xxxxxx" blathering from analysts who love the sound of their own voices so much, they forget the importance of the plays that are happening on the field as they drone on and on with some boring anecdote*.

It'll definitely be an interesting game. Reid needs to come up with playcalling that will keep the pressure of the Bucs' pass rush off Mahomes. And KC's D is vulnerable to the run. The Bucs' D is outstanding against the run, even better than the LA Rams, so KC needs RB Clyde Edwards-Hilaire if he can play. Kelce and Hill are great weapons, but the addition of CEH helps keep the D honest.

KC is favored but they need to come out sharp. They've been flat starting out their last few games and you can't do that in the SB - especially against a team with a superior D that's peaking at the right time.

No. But in normal times my son would have a super bowl party since he was the first one many many years ago to get a huge TV . That's the only game I ever watch and even then I have to ask who's playing. No party this year so husband will watch and I'll watch Netflix.

No, I don't follow football (or basketball) at all. Professional cycling is my sport; sadly the January races (in Australia) were cancelled due to Covid: there are two races on the 14th in Europe, but I won't be able to see them. The next occurring (if not cancelled) that I would likely be able to find a way to watch aren't until late March.
