Comments (39)How terrible you were in the hospital for five days. Just beginning myself to recover from a terrible bout of siactica I feel very sympathetic. I wonder, if the mainstream docs have no idea are you willing to try other things. I went to an Osteopath who was very helpful and am still going to a local acupuncturist who is helping with my nerve envolvement. I was never sure if I believed in acupuncture before but I feel great when I leave his office. Another thing to look into that I know may sound crazy is Prolo Therapy. My husband had chronic sciatica, which made his job as a nurse very difficult. He got treatments from the guy that wrote the book on the subject who is local here and was cured. It's a series of injections of sugar water(!) that I guess incourages healing of tendons and ligaments. Anyway, sorry for all the advice that you might not want. All of the replies have been just awesome... ((((OJ)))) Well, here's the true story about my remarriage. After the first one left, I began to pray and what I said to Him was, "Since my judgement is obviously so bad, IF I ever get married again, You'll have to send him to me because I will not (and didn't!) look for another husband again, and You'll have to make sure that I know he's 'The One' that You've sent for me, and here's a list of all the things that I want in a husband." And He sent Mr. Perfect. God's very own gift, picked out just for me. AND he's everything on the list, and then some... So truthfully, it wasn't courage on my part, it was just obedience. And when a friend of mine asked me (8 years after the first one left! I was 30 by then) if I wanted to meet her BIL, I knew (before I even laid an eyeball on him) he was 'The One' and we're still living happily ever after 17 years later - except for this mess in me. And my gyn said I needed counciling, but being cheap -er- thrifty, I went to my pastor and after some talking/prayer, which was good but not enough, he sent me/us to 2 other pastor/councilors over the next few years. Also some council/prayer with my pastor's wife, which has been the most fruitful. I have been on antidepressants on and off for years, mainly since my mom's death, but a few years ago I asked God to help me get off and stay off of them, and He has. I do think they cause dryness though. I really think the dryness/pain is about the issues that want to re-surface. But I dunno... I can't wait to see the Dr. and get to the bottom of all of this, I've searched and prayed for answers since I reached adulthood and have heard few and I believe this will be a pivot of sorts for me and my family - kids and grandsugars. Comments (7)My boys had RSV when they were 3 and 3 months. It's very scary. The 3 y/o was much worse, he got it first, was misdiagnosed and so worsed for several days before it was diagnosed right. So we were on the lookout for the symptoms in the baby, and caught it right away. But the 3 y/o was horrible. About as scared as I've ever been. He would not move, he didn't even cry anymore, he just laid there with quiet tears seeping from his eyes. Getting him to be still was not a problem, which is scary for a child. He just could not breathe. We got a nebulizer and had to do breathing treatments at home every couple hours. He had chest x-rays, but was not hospitalized, but it was close. He required constant care for a few days at home by me, and doctor visits every other day for a couple weeks. Even after he got over it, his lungs were weakened. Every little cold went straight to his chest with a cough that would last for weeks after other symptoms were gone. In fact, the doctor wrote us a prescription for the breathing treatment meds (name won't come to me right now) good for a year at a time. For a couple years after that bout, we continued to use the nebulizer with most colds. It was almost like asthma, his lungs were so weakened by that illness. So I'm sending good thoughts for your boys. And for you. Ya know, honestly, some of your posts lately have been... off. Your "voice" doesn't sound like you. But this one sounds better. Please take care of yourself, Stacie. Your kids need you healthy, so it's not selfish to put your well-being before dishes and laundry and other chores. I think the package from me should be there now. Hope they like it! My DD helped me fill the package, she enjoyed that even though she has no idea who we were sending it to! LOL!...See More
