My parents rarely drank coffee until the 1970s and then it was usually instant. She just liked the grinder. However, I used it until quite recently when the crank broke. We had it mended once but it is now too fragile to use. The breadboard has been in daily use since it was bought. The scales are also still in use.

Sigh...yes, Floral that is their proper name. A lot of people here call them

"Belties" too. Is that ok?

I just hadn’t ever come across the Oreo name. I wondered if they were a different breed that looked similar.

Looking through some old dresses I just had to keep. This little black dress was a vintage piece even back then. It was something! (Back in my younger days I used to love going out)

Uptown Gal, there used to be a Hutterite colony near us that raised Belted Galloways and whenever we drove by, the kids would always laugh and call them Oreo cows! That’s what we’ve called them ever since.

Love those 'Oreo cows'. Neither DH nor I knew what they were when we first saw one and we also called them Oreo cows!

Floral I understand why you asked. I thought the same thing. Did they just look the same or were they a different breed than the Galloway cows I had known? I had never heard of them being called Oreo cows. Love it though! Belties is cute too.

roxsol, where I live that horse would be called a leopard appaloosa. I think those horses are absolutely beautiful .
