Didn’t really follow the cabinet placement. But I say to tile the whole wall. Until the ceiling.

Should have clarified that I would tile to the ceiling but where along the left side of the range do I stop the tile?

yep. to the ceiling.

you stop the tile on the left at the peninsula.

if you plan on having shelves there, I'd still tile it to the end of peninsula.

Some might say to stop even w/the window but it's really a personal choice. no right or wrong answer.

Agree. For sure past the peninsula but I have yet to see too much tile. I would love to wrap it across the whole kitchen. It’s a look and not everyone is open to it. But I think it would look amazing!! If not, ( which I highly doubt your going to) stop by the penin

Thanks so much for all the photos, @Beth H. :! I have a change in ceiling heights (see circle on photo) around where the window ends. So do we think it would still be best to tile to the end of the peninsula or would it be best stop where the ceiling height changes?

I will do a white box hood with no shelves to the left of it and white shelves in an L from the right of the hood to the kitchen sink window. White subway tile

The blank area to the left of the d/w is framed for a doorway to a future possible expansion to a rear deck. Will hang some art there to fill the void.

that's a lot of white. I'd suggest instead of white shelves you do a nice wood one (not reclaimed, but a nice piece of finished wood) w/a stain that matches your flooring. Even in your inspiration picture they used the cabinet color to bring in contrast. otherwise, it's going to look like a white sheet on your wall.

as for the ceiling jog, it's fine. just jog the tile down w/it. You can always decide on install day. work out towards the peninsula and stop at the one point. see if you like it. if not, keep going.
