Your indoor/outdoor double sided fireplace - love it or hate it?

We are in the design phase of a new build, and are considering a large double-sided fireplace that one side would be in the great room and the other side open into the adjoining 3 season sunroom/porch.

I'm concerned that we would be heating a space in the cold months (sunroom/porch) that we don't use during much at all between November-March, and probably wouldn't use much even if the fireplace allowed us to warm that space, so I am not sure if I even want to do this.

We do use our great room fireplace a LOT, but we never (ever) use the other 3 fireplaces we have in our house, so I am kind of mulling over just having one in the great room and that is all.

Do you find that you really like this option if you have it or you really don't? Do you use it for both spaces?

It seems like a very cool idea but it also seems like something that could just be a novelty and not practical or often used.
