Red metal roof...what color for siding/trim?
Comments (19)Whoa, Belflowerd! You have dug up an old post. I cannot tell you the colors on the initial Kingma house pictured, but I CAN tell you what we used and it is close. For the lighter color, we used BW Shaker Beige and for the contrasting shingles, BW Alexandria Beige. We had not planned this, but the Shaker Beige matched the garage doors nearly perfectly...something to think about. Also, while I love the results, if I had to do it over again, I would choose an even darker color for the shingles for more contrast. Here's a link to the finished house, before landscaping. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-pNWSAC8QjRg/ShsxA1JDATI/AAAAAAAAHr8/YXTALGMUT3k/s1024-Ic42/IMG_0681.JPG Hope that helps!...See MoreNeed help picking roof color for house with green siding
Comments (16)I was actually thinking of painting the shutters white, too, after I saw a picture of a green house with white shutters and it looked very nice. We also were going to close up the gable vents (the roof will have a ridge vent so we shouldn't need the gable vents, and bats like to hang from them and make a mess on the siding). I was thinking I could do some kind of accent siding in place of the gables, in some sort of color or even a stained wood type color (if the shutters were white)....See MoreColor Scheme for Home with a Green Metal Roof
Comments (3)I love standing seam metal roofs. Unfortunately, your house sits up so high that all you can see is a small vertical section of it, so it looks like a mansard roof. That detracts. I would not do white, but a warm, light grey would be nice. And not light green for vinyl siding; that would just look cheap....See MoreHelp! House colors to work with stone- siding, roof, trim, etc
Comments (0)Looking for thoughts on exterior design colors for this home. The yellow/orange stone will remain, but a new roof will be added (currently a burnt orange color) and the siding (currently an olive green in need of TLC) and trim (currently a dark brown) will be painted. Would love guidance and thoughts on color options! The grays/shark blues are what we love, but can't visualize if or how that would go. Thoughts? Recommendations?...See MoreUser
