Wow. Your house is really really absolutely beautiful. The details are amazing. Love!!! Is this room having a tv and where? I’d do it above the FP and have a massive light colored sectional, a rug, coffee table. Maybe a console behind the back of the couch , lamp.... I would love to see molding here. Would you do a wall of stained wood molding? Or even a blue painted molding?

Also want to add lighting will be a big change in such a space!

What do you need to do in this room? Entertain? Relax and watch tv? Both? If so, you have room for all that! Nice big space, looks like plenty of room for 3 different areas. I prefer 2 sofas facing each other perpendicular to the fireplace. You could place 2 chairs facing the fireplace. Then the tv opposite the fireplace (please not above or you’ll strain necks). Maybe the chairs are swivel. Maybe the tv to the right of the fireplace.

I recommend drawing a scale floor plan including the windows and door openings. You can then draw scale furniture sizes and move them around to see what configurations work best for you.

You need to decide how you want the room to function first. Does it need a tv? A dining table? Where do each of the doorways lead? It looks like you have room for several different zones.

I would float the furniture centered around fireplace and use large, comfortable pieces.

The far end is harder without knowing your needs as well as requiring good traffic access outside. I love McGee & Co and if you search on Instagram, there are a ton of ideas and if you like, check their website as they provide design services and products.

What a beautiful space. In long rooms, I love to create two areas. A main conversation area and a secondary area for reading or small desk/breakfast/game area. Depends on your needs. Give us more info on how you want to use this space and how many people you will want seating for everyday. That is critical to decisions.

Thank you all for all the great input. My goal is for this room be used when entertaining with a big seating area. There is a separate large dining room. I also plan to put a grand piano in front of square corner window.

That is very important info. A piano should not be on an outside wall. It will be challenging to locate the piano due to walkways, windows and fireplace. Can you post a sketch of the room and go around outside edges noting lengths of walls and windows and openings. Then I can do a scale drawing and work on furniture placement ideas along with proper sizes of furnishings. Any chance this piano could go in dining room? Then you could seat more in living room.
