Okay when you start a dilemma with what you are not open to then we have our hands tied since IMO the sofa takes over the space and really not much can be added so apiece of art above the sofa and IMO some proper lighting BTW you add pics to your original post and if at all possible remove the other post.

You could replace the dark console with a low, white unit. Change floor lamp to better compliment and remove coffee table and ladder.

The art above sectional should be more horizontal than vertical and add more interesting cushions. The idea is to draw the eye to accessorizes vs just seeing a tight space.

In regards to your other post about what to add to wall between sectional and door, you mentioned a hall tree (for coats I presume), it will only add to cluttering up the space. Try different ideas from minimal to more; see what works best
