Can you post a photo of the window wall and back further to show your taste in furniture?

This is an old picture. The floors were redone in a darker color. We are in the process of painting the walls a light grey. I said goodbye to the chandelier and the plant in the corner.

Btw....I’m looking for a chandelier too if anyone has suggestions!

What a very pretty room! Do you need the blinds/shades? Your curtains would immediately look better without the hold-backs. Let them hang straight. Personally I would remove the blinds and use sheers and panels on a double rod. Make sure that they are full enough so that they do not look skimpy.

I agree -- it's a very pretty room. I also suggest you let the curtains hang straight without the hold backs, but I would remove the sheers and keep the blinds (or replace the blinds with plantation shutters). As far as a new light fixture, what do you think about matching the metal used in the mirror?

The reason I like the blinds is that when it's sunny it's actually too bright in the room. I like the fact that I can control the light coming in. I was thinking of doing just straight curtains. The problem is that the window is so big that I have to install a 3rd hook in the middle to hold up the curtain rod. It looks unfinished to me. When I added the sheers it helped to hide the center hook. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong with the curtain rods or perhaps I have the wrong rod. Thanks for all your suggestions.
