OK, I think I have it figured out. I thought when I pasted, I would see the image, not a string of words and symbols! I can't tell you how many times I copied and pasted and deleted, and it was there all along. So, here are some plans I came up with. I don't know (do you even know yet?) what kind of tub you want, other than 6', so plan C1 shows a rectangular one. It doesn't have to be, though. There is a pony wall at the end of the tub, with glass above. The fittings can be mounted on this wall (if the tub is rectangular), or deck-mounted at either end. There is a seat/bench on the shower side of the wall. You could have a towel bar/hook on the pony wall outside of the shower door. Plan C2 is almost the same, except the tub deck extends into the shower for the seat/bench, with a glass surround. For both of these plans I would put drawers in the bottom of the cabinet next to the shower, and a pull-out (or 2) on top, much like spice pull-outs in kitchens. You could also have open shelves (or shelves behind doors), but you wouldn't be able to reach the back of the shelves very easily. Plan C3 reverses the placement of the tub and shower. This is not as nice from a privacy standpoint, but has better access to towels after showering than does C2. Also, it depends what kind of climate you live in, if you would want the plumbing for the shower on an exterior wall. Even with insulation behind, I wouldn't do that where I live (it's way too cold and I've suffered through too many frozen pipes). You could have some type of shelving at the end of the tub, or just extend the deck platform. Plan C4 moves the doorway. I realize you said that you don't want to do that, but from your plans it looks like the centerline of the window is about 10-1/2' from the bottom wall. Even an 8' dresser could still be centered on the bed (which is centered on the windows), with the door moved. You would have 2 smaller closets, but actually with the same amount of room. If you don't want to close the window in the closet, you could build in a set of drawers under it, depending on how high the window is. The shower wall next to the vanity is glass, to maximize your interior dimension. In all cases, I would switch the bathroom door to swinging instead of a pocket door. You can then recess medicine cabinets (for plans 1,2,3) behind the sinks. It's also easier to open and shut swinging doors, and when you're in a hurry to make it to the bathroom, every second counts! I also think you don't need any door on the closet itself, or even on the doorway to the bedroom itself, at the beginning of the hallway. In all of the plans, the vanity is 60". Particularly for plans 1,2,3 that shouldn't feel too tight, since there are no walls at either end. I hope some of these ideas help you.

Thanks so much for the suggestions and layout options. The base of the window is 34" above the tile and there is 2' of wall on each side of the 4' window. There is a 32" doorway which is 85+ inches from the window wall and 67+ inches from the attic wall (185" total). the doorway is centered in the 43" hallway between the closets. Weedyacres, thanks, I should extend the closet into that attic. I also like the layout flipping the closets and bathroom to eliminate the wasted hallway space. If I were building the house from scratch, and lived alone, I would do the flipped layout. Unfortunately, in my circumstances, the plumbing change would involve some significant construction in a large 1st floor room under the existing closets /bedroom, and it is way less of an issue with the den under the existing bathroom. Also, I would not want to be locked out of my closet if the wife is in the master bath. It is much easier for me to keep spare shower/shave stuff in the 2nd upstairs full bath than to organize spare suits/clothes in other closets. I so appreciate your help and ideas.

Hello everyone I am designing my master bathroom. And I feel like the two vanities look awkward... what are your thoughts? I'm going to have them built in so it looks more like a piece of furniture than two vanities put next to each other. I was going to put a low bench or maybe low shelving between the two vanities.

Here's what I came up with. I can't see the point of having the toilet in such a large room. However I can see having a larger shower for the master bathroom, so I switched the shower and toilet, and moved the vanities to the outside wall. I then gave you a pocket door from the bedroom to the master bathroom. I squared off your master closet and moved your door to your room down a bit. Now when you walk into your bedroom you have a path to either side of the bed without having to make a jog around the bed. Your toilet closet is 5'2" x 3' wide which is plenty large. You can do as I'm doing and add a frosted glass swinging door to the closet to get more light into the room. The shelving area can be shelves, or a narrow closet, or??? The shower is now whatever the width of the room was by 5'2". A nice sized shower. I moved the entry to the closet down also.
